“TRUTH IS NON-DUAL.”
The world the mind perceives and understands is always trapped in relative dualities such as “good and evil,” “possible and impossible,” and “superior and inferior.”
There is no unconscious mind (ego) that is free from this trap of duality, free from this invisible “law of duality.”
Therefore, no matter how noble the ideal, pursuing it will never lead to peace or absolute love.
This is because in relative duality, whether we are aware of it or not, inherently creates something opposing the moment we make a choice.
Therefore, no matter how much the mind (ego) clamors or whispers, even if we live according to the words of sages or books considered “right,” as long as we remain trapped in that duality, we and those we cherish will not become safe, nor will peace prevail in the world, nor will we be able to live happily with absolute love.
This fact is clear if we simply look back at history.
Every problem, every reality, is grasped as the amount that matches the level of awareness of the observer, that is, the degree of openness. Just as Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them,” the world will never fundamentally change if we remain perceiving everything within that duality.
However, even if we strive to understand non-duality, it will be merely interpretations, speculations, or secondhand knowledge by the mind (ego), far removed from the truth.
In fact, peace, absolute love, or the ultimate happiness they seem to offer are not things that can be experienced when certain conditions are met; they are here, right now.
Furthermore, when we realize, as awareness, that these are the very Self itself, as awareness spontenaously surrenderes the identification with the mind (ego), personal “I”self, awareness realizes that everything was here all along, and that nothing needed to be done.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Truth is what, by seeing through the facts through the clarity of innermost stillness, every unconscious assumption, belief, and identification with the mind (ego, thoughts) and emotions, and dismantling everything the mind (ego) stubbornly claims to be reality.
In the presence of Truth, nothing of the mind (ego) survives.
In other words, there is no such thing as an individual who attains enlightenment.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
If one truly seeks to see reality as it is, one will unconsiously detach oneself from the “I” self without intention or effort, and through the clarity of innermost stillness, it will purely witness the phenomena as mere impermanence unfolding before eyes, and moreover, even the thoughts and emotions one has mistakenly identified with oneself, only appearing and disappearing in a quiet, vast space.
And eventually, what becomes clear is that the world of now is always perfect and beautiful for exactly what is—without any excess or deficiency, right or wrong, or superiority or inferiority.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Truth never tells those who see or hear it, “What is not the truth is wrong,” nor does it say, “We should live in accordance with the truth.”
If it were to say such a thing in the world of dulality, it means that it would implicitly be either denying or affirming only the opposite.
However, truth neither denies nor affirms anything.
That is the Non-Duality of the Truth.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Even if a person possesses knowledge of the truth, as long as they are not yet living as awareness, as the impersonal Self, or don’t yet grasp how the mind (ego) works, no matter how hard we try, we cannot see reality as it truly is, free from relative duality. Not only that, without realizing it, we perceive truth as something that “denies” a certain way of being, or conversely, something that “affirms something to be ‘right’.”
It is exactly where identification with the mind (ego) is, however it is precisely so hard to recognize as it is for any of us because it is so deep into our own unconsciousness and that’s why the main obstacle is its unconscious identification itself.
In fact, all of us unconsciously permeates this identification with and attachment to the mind (ego, thoughts) and emotions deep into variety of unconscious level during our lives without exception, thereby, combined with the fact that truth is so simple, it becomes extremely hard to notice—far more so than we imagine.
Even so, we are always in the most suitable place, meeting the most necessary people, and through all of them, witnessing experiences necessary to become aware of the fact.
And by its insight, we can become liberated ourselves from unconscious identifications and attachments until then.
None of these are wrong.
On the contrary, we are not born to inspire people through truth or right actions, nor to eliminate all problems from the world or become someone enlightened, nor to punish or correct a wrong world in order to manifest an ideal.
In fact, no matter how the mind (ego) perceives the world of what is, this moment is the life itself, and every insight we notice as awareness in this moment, or every event occurring within us at the moment, is everything we truly need, and all of it is perfect.
There is nothing else.
No matter how we view this perfectly functioning reality, or how strongly experience it as personal belongings, everything is mere being seen and experienced only for a necessity.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
The world population is said to exceed 8 billion, but the experiences a single person actually witnesses throughout their lifetime are arguably only a tiny fraction of that total.
So, what if, for example, consciousness itself, along with various environments, degrees of identification—that is, degrees of openness—and by interconnectedness, in each era, all the various levels of consciousness and unconsciousness of each of us, and various spiritual challenges faced, and thereby it becomes different result with each individual perception?
What if, all of each person we encounter may be aware of something profound that we could never possibly know on our own in this life time?
Can we clearly see the fact of possibleness that wholeness of truth, including these facts are simply invisible to the mind (ego)?
Nevertheless, the mind (ego) always reinforces identification and attachment with the insubstantial mind (ego), emotions and experiences by comparing and judging itself, for better or worse. Such as thinking within duality, “I can see the truth,” “I, who can understand the words of this sage, is special,” “Those who cannot understand this truth are fool or wrong,” or the other way, “I cannot do it,” or “I am inferior to that person.”
Even those who claim to have attained enlightenment are the same.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
In this way, in fact, every moment is actually an opportunity for a deeper, more spiritual awakening as non-self of openness, and everything necessary for that is always in place.
As a matter of fact, there is absolutely no need to go anywhere special or perform any special rituals.
In addition, there is no need to try to be positive, no need to improve oneself, and furthermore, the truth is that “any of us” will not attain enlightenment.
What’s needed is never judgment on anyone including oneself, or the world, but patiently, deeply inquiring oneself, seeing through the facts, and continuing to do so, into deeper and deeper.
Ultimately, by truly seeing through reality as it is, of what is, awareness will be naturally, without intention or effort of the mind (ego), liberated one by one from unconscious meaningleas constraints.
And as long as this never-ending practice continues, the truth will become more profound, in line with the degree of openness.
However, there may be times when nothing is visible despite trying, or resistance arises in the form of various excuses and denials, or even a great shock when the unvarnished facts are revealed.
Or, internally, one may desperately try to control the mind (ego) in a struggle between “good and evil.”
But all of these are natural occurrences, simply happening because they are necessary.
All that is needed is to merely see through the facts.
Such reactions arise naturally because of unconscious identification and attachment with misperception. Just as everyone unconsciously cultivates those identification, attachment, and ignorance, these reactions are merely natural defense mechanisms of the mind (ego).
The moment awareness realizes this, the struggle will inevitably come to an end.
In this way, the more one continue to observe oneself through the clarity of innermost stillness, the less one naturally becomes surprised by new insights or resist what is, and thereby the more awareness will naturally be liberated from unconsciousness and become freer each time.
Thus, the world, stubbornly closed off by identification and attachment to the mind (ego), emotions, and experiences, inevitably opens up into what is.
Openness of heart, therefore, is not something attained for the “I” self through effort; it is something that opens spontaneously, at the same time of seeing through the facts, as the mind (ego) is naturally surrendered to unknown.
However, the fact that the insights each of us needs are never the same, nor will they ever become the same, is often overlooked by the reamining impatient mind (ego).
Insight is always gained at the optimal time as lining with each degree of openness. Just because one tries to see the facts doesn’t mean everything is visible to everyone as the same degree; rather, what is seen is always the absolute best and most optimal for each individual at that particular moment.
This fact does never represent any value of existence because there is no individual; it’s simply the reality as it is, nothing more, nothing less.
In short, cherish each and every “now.”
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
On the other hand, no matter how profound the truth awareness realized, the moment one thinks, “I’ve already understood the truth, so I no longer need to see myself,” or “The enlightened ‘I’ can guide people,” it is eaxctly a sign that, once again, we actually fell into the trap of the mind (ego), and obsessed into the familiar cage (unconscious identification and attachment)
That’s how insidious identification with and attachment to the mind (ego) is; its penetration into the unconscious is incredibly deep.
But if we can become aware of this fact, it can say that the door to the next chapter has opened.
In this way, abiding as awareness, as non-self, becomes more natural.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
There is no single right answer; everything in this present moment is right.
It doesn’t have to become someone special; it’s merely about embracing the present moment as it is.
Embracing happens naturally, without any effort, but as a result of surrendering the “I” self to the unknown at the moment of seeing through the facts with the clarity of the innermost stillness.
The need for effort or improvement simply arises from identification with and attachment to the mind (ego, thoughts) and emotions, and it is merely poped up in the head as an another transient thought.
All that’s needed is to always see the facts clearly.
The moment that any insight becomes apparent is always when the identification with the “I” self is surrendered to the unknown in the clarity of innermost stillness.
Thus, truth is always impersonal and non-dual. (OM 🙏)
