“Ego never becomes a good listener.”

“EGO NEVER BECOMES A GOOD LISTENER.”

For the seeker of truth, there are times when you feel as if the ego can seem troublesome, unmanageable, and out of control.

But, ask yourself, “Who is it that is trying to control the ego?”

What would we call the ‘it’ that wants to control the ego if we did not call it the ego?

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

In fact, the more we try to control the ego somehow, the more power it has. Because what we want to control it means that we actually recognize that it cannot be controlled, and as long as that recognition we are obsessed, we will inevitably continue to discover the uncontrollable ego. As you see, it is that perception of ours that creates reality.

Furthermore, as long as you keep to see the ego as an enemy and struggle with it, you will definitely keep missing the beauty of the ‘now,’ which is life itself, and you will never be able to leave the world in which you identify with the ego.

In fact, no matter how much you try to control the ego, you will never be able to do it. How on earth can you control the ego, which lurks in the unconscious mind, which is said to account for more than 90% of human awareness, with only about 10% of your conscious mind (i.e., while you are aware of it)?

It is impossible for anyone.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

You are not that ego.

The ego, whenever you notice its presence, it’s enough to just observe it as the Consciousness itself.

You are not there to live as ‘it.’

No matter how much it may fuss or cry out inside you, just accept it with unconditional love and gently embrace it.

In this way, without confusing the ego with the essence that is the Consciousness itself, you can simply be there, as the unchangeable Consciousness itself.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

End the struggle with it.

There is never an end to the struggle between ego and ego.

That’s just an illusion that as if the ego will one day become a very good listener if you can control it well enough.

Let go of such illusions.

Instead of keeping that struggle, get away from that noisy mind and find the innermost stillness. And from that perfect stillness, just observe.

Until you truly find that stillness within, it may be difficult for you to realize how much you are trying to become someone with your mind, but even while you don’t see it clearly, you can find ‘keys’ to get away from the noisiness of the mind – such as Take a deep breath every time you notice it, look at the mountains in the distance, etc. – and you can also cultivate that new habit of the ‘key’ for yourself. It is something you will be able to continue to use for rest of your life.

In this respect, ‘now’ you are working to clarify within yourself the difference between the ego and the essence that is the Consciousness itself, and you are also working on grasping it with your heart, not your mind, what it means to be ‘away from the ego.’

Be kind to yourself always. (OM 🙏)
