“When you stop seeking”

“WHEN YOU STOP SEEKING”

When you stop seeking outward—such as for answers or for change—only then does the door that leads truly inward, the path to truth, open.

This is by no means the same as giving up on life.

On the contrary, it is only then—when awareness sees reality as it truly is—that every moment becomes an effortless opportunity to recognize the various narratives of constructed “me.”

This will bring a sense of excitement: “What will happen next?” or “What new assumptions about ‘me’ will awareness uncover?” Yet, it also offers a profound peace—because by examining and seeing through false-self, the narrative of the “I” with sincerity and humility, awareness can be liberated from the unconscious traps that once held it captive.

There is also no longer the agonizing, “my” personal pain that arises from unconscious identification with the narrative of the “I.”

Because, by self-observation and self-inquiry with the clarity of the innermost stillness—the more illusory nature of the “me” narrative is revealed, the clearer becomes that a “self” needing to be protected or improved never existed in the first place.

However, awakening to the true Self does not mean that reality will shift into the form the mind—the “I,” thoughts, or the ego—expects it to take, like happier, of course.

Yet, as the unconscious identification with and attachment to the narrative of “me” are brought to light, interestingly, the very reality before eyes inevetably undergoes a fundamental transformation as well.

As the identification with the narrative of “me” dissolves, the impulse to seek things naturally externally fades away. In its place, awareness will directly and clearly see the reality of what is, at the present moment—has always been, as well as phenomena will always happen caused by the same system of dependent origin.

Reality is, at all times, nothing more than a transient phenomenon, unfolding precisely as it is meant to. In this absolute perfection—even within the illusion of perception, which is merely a flawless reflection of the principle, which shifts easily with the slightest change in consciousness at the mind-body level, “as within, so without,”—there is nothing to be added and nothing to be taken away.

Awareness will even find awe in the face of this perfection.

Awakening to the truth—abiding in pure awareness as awareness—is not about “improving” the “self,” nor is it about accumulating spiritual knowledge or engaging in spiritual practices (such as yoga or meditation).

With the direct, experiential realization that there is no “doer”—no “self”—and that there never was any need to “do” anything to change the “self” or the world, eventually, it will come to the recognition naturally that the “self”—which becomes ensnared in the flow of emotions and patterned thoughts arising and dissolving within, or which unconcsiously interprets mere physical sensations habitually—is nothing more than a patterned activity in the brain, entirely distinct from “Beingness” (essence). Consequently, awareness can effortlessly remain as an observer of these phenomena within.

Yet, there is no central figure, as a fixed doer, behind the action.

In the seeing, there is only the seeing; in the acting, there is only the acting.

The Truth is, everywhere and ever-present, there is only “I Am”—undivided and inseparable from anything else. (OM 🙏)
