“INNER STILLNESS”
Inner stillness brings peace, and indeed, it is peace itself.
It is this inner stillness that can shed the light of clarity upon life.
Through this clarity, facts about (your) existence—previously unnoticed—are revealed; simultaneously, unconscious illusions (such as the narrative of “I,” attachments, beliefs, assumptions, and the claim of ownership over experiences and memories, and so on) naturally dissolve without any effort.
This does not mean losing humanity. Rather, by realizing things like “there is no need—nor is it even possible—to control everything” or “emotions and thoughts are merely things that arise and pass away within consciousness,” awareness as pure presence becomes able to truly take responsibility for what is necessary. No longer swayed by fleeting emotions and thoughts, awareness can devote itself to living in the here and now—feeling and savoring the ever-changing reality just as it is, without clinging to it.
This does not occur because the “I” intentionally seeks freedom, nor as a result of successfully improving the “I”-self.
Purely observing the “I”—which is merely a series of movements within the mind (e.g. thoughts, emotions, interpretations of sensations, and the judgments that trigger reactions to them)—and realizing the facts of what is (insight) is made possible only by the clarity brought about by inner stillness.
Furthermore, if awareness looks even more closely at the “seeing,” it becomes apparent that there is nothing but “seeing” itself, and that the (illusory) “I” (thoughts, ego) is nowhere to be found. Because of this absence of the “I” (ego), nothing hinders the awareness of facts as they are, nor the resulting natural changes in words and actions that stem from that insight.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
At this time, there is no need to fight to control against the thoughts and emotions, that (you) are misidentifing as “I,” and “mine.”
Nor is there any need to pass judgment—labeling beingness as “good or bad,” or “done or undone.”
It is purely about surrendering everything towards the clarity as openness brought by the innermost stillness, as a result of letting go of control, that resides far deeper than the “I.” What awareness will reaize may be, for instance, that no matter how desperately the “I” tries or how much effort the “I” exerts, the “I” (ego, thoughts) cannot change everything, or that at times, it cannot even unconditionally accept the facts as they are, and may even react or speak unconsciously. When awareness accepts these very facts about the “I”—acknowledging powerlessness, it is at the same time, means surrendering the ego—awareness prepares the necessary openness to access a cosmic wisdom (intelligence). This wisdom arises through the clarity of the innermost stillness—a stillness that far transcends the “I,” ego, yet is not separate from beingness or located somewhere else.
Only then can all resistance to reality as it is, the desire for control, and expectations, and so on be surrendered—effortlessly.
Not in the past, nor in the future, but in the very “moment of now”—for living as “The Self” through every experience.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
To surrender the ego, awareness must first realize powerlessness of the mind (the “I,” thinking, ego).
For surrender is never something that can be accomplished by the ego—by the “I.
And there are, of course, various gateways to such realization. The process of realization will varies in many.
First, create an environment that allows (you) to be present in the “now” and naturally step away from relative, dualistic judgments—such as “fast vs. slow” or “done vs. not done”—where (you) compare oneself to the past or to others, or judge people (including oneself) and the world.
Make it a priority to be in that environment for anywhere from tens of minutes to several hours each day (or longer, if possible).
This may not simply be a matter of physical location.
Sometimes, it may simply be a matter of re-evaluating how (you) spend time for diversion that (you) think it as relaxation.
What is required will vary depending on the moment.
And regarding the new insights—not mere thoughts—that arise while (you) are in that environment: no matter what psychological resistance (such as doubt or interpretation) may surface later, make it a priority to honor the insight exactly as it was purely perceived.
If psychological resistance does arise, simply allow that internal movement of such “resistance”—linked to the “I”—to unfold just as it is.
Then, try to examine it: “What is the root of this?”
The goal is not neccessarily to exhaustively inquire it; rather, it is to humbly awaken to the fact that “what can be aware in this moment is all there is.” It is about realizing that no matter how the “I”—which seeks to become or be someone—try, and no matter how desperate that movement may be, it will eventually subside.

Without noticing, thoughts easily transforms into unconscious stubbornness, fantacies, or self-hypnosis, eventually leading to attempts to control various aspects of reality. Inner stillness of clarity, on the other hand—even when accompanied by pain—inevitably brings a sense of peace through just the fact of what is. This is because this unconditional serenity—something that can never be bestowed by external conditions like people or the world, nor achieved through mere effort by the “I”—always resides within as an inner stillness; it is precisely the place to which awareness spiritually returns.
And this inner stillness is (your) impersonal essence.
It is eternally complete; nothing needs to be added to it, nor anything taken away.
This inner stillness, existing entirely apart from thought, is in fact the wholeness of Oneness itself.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
However, this is by no means a spiritual identity, nor a religious, philosophical, or psychological teaching for the “I” to adopt.
Non-dual truths that sages attempt to articulate—such as Awareness, The Self, Oneness, Divine Love, or Non-Duality—are beyond the comprehension of the “I” (which is merely a construct of thought) beyond its own interpretations based on prior knowledge; indeed, a thought like “‘I’ have understood the truth” is nothing more than a deception by the mind (the “I,” thought, or ego) that desires to be someone.
The truth of non-duality is something known by Awareness directly and immediately; in fact, it is impossible to put the whole of truth into words.
Furthermore, this fact itself is also something that Awareness comes to know directly and immediately.(OM 🙏)
