“Being as essence.”

“Being as essence.”

“BEING AS ESSENCE.”

In terms of spiritual awakening, it is highly recommended not to react. Because reactions come from the ego (unconscious) based on the mind’s illusions (interpretations or projections), which create problems where there are none, furthering strengthen the perception of illusions as facts, and not only that, but also holds back spiritual awakening.

Some of the basic attitudes that are as essence are listed below.

While we keep this in our heart, if we find ourselves deviating from the main line, we can use it as an opportunity to clarify the root of our words and actions.

And thereby we will eventually be able to further deepen spiritual awakening as well.

・The important thing is not whether able or not, but to make the most of each and every opportunity, appreciating the fact that every moment is a precious opportunity, and that we can work on it anew every moment of every day.

・Be a sincere, but not a too serious.

・Continue to learn to love yourself authentically. How can we apply the ultimate love towards ourselves that is infinitely given to us, rather than human love (what is commonly called love is not really love, but attachment and possession)? Through trial and error and we make the most of every opportunity.

・Detach from ego, false-self enough so that we can smile or laugh at our own failures as if we were watching a comedy.

・Always listen to the inaudible voice of the heart, not the noisy voice of the mind.

・Continue to pay attention to ourselves, not to others.

・Not judge, but observe.

・Not react to anything.

・Cherish the present moment. Accept each fact daily with gratitude, including ourselves as we are, no matter what it is in front of us the present moment. Cherish the little work of every single day.

・There is no ego which is illusion, so the ego can not know anything. In other words, further comprehend that “I know nothing” every moment of every day.

・Always remember to be humble.

・Do not have prejudices or assumptions. If we find them through self-observation, inquire ourselves deeply into what it is that we want to protect with them?

・Stop habitual self-punitive behavior. Inquire ourselves deeply into what we want to hide or avoid by our self-punishing behavior?

・When we find “fear” in ourselves, we gently embrace ourselves including each fear. Learn how to be kind to ourselves by taking it as an opportunity.

・Pain in the mental and physical is a notification from the mental and physical that care is needed, so instead of increasing anxiety more and more by paying too much attention to the pain, take care of what we can now, one thing at a time. If necessary, seek professional help. And take it as a great opportunity to listen to the subtle mental and physical changes in us, to learn more about ourselves mentally and physically. (OM 🙏)
