“WHAT ‘ENLIGHTENMENT = SPIRITUAL AWAKENING’ BRINGS.”

For most people, why it is difficult to realize that they are living an illusion that they themselves are creating is, perhaps because they believe, without any doubt, that the mind and ego is they are ( = identification with them ), believing that the drama colored by emotional experiences is the place where they can feel that they are ‘alive.’

What further supports and reinforces the illusions of those who recognize themselves as separate individuals, that is, their minds and egos, is, none other than, the society of the time itself. Because it is the people who are living in the same illusion of identification with the mind and ego that are shaping that society.

In such a society, we see and hear such as about people’s egos competing with each other, about intense love-hate relationships between addicts and enablers, about the concept that people are not good enough on their own so that friendship or love are the only way to help each other and that this is what people should do through on TV as a source of information, in casual conversations among people, and in various other media. And even if that’s a kind of development in human history, this way our society, concepts such as the ideal way of being a human being are imprinted on people’s conscious over and over again even unconsciously. Until each person realize that those are merely as an option, so to speak, those will continue endorsing and reinforcing identification with the individual mind and ego, and as well as values such as the goodness alone in the dual world.

However, for instance, wars that have been justified in the history of humankind, or kind of revenge as penalties inflicted on perpetrators for controlling the grief and anger of crime victims, are protected by law, are all based on the identification ourselves with the mind or the ego. And yet any one of them have never been truly resolved once. How do you accept this fact that these have never been the true solution?

And what do you think about it?

In fact, when one faces oneself and questions this kind of things that are so obvious to oneself that one does not even question them, one is, for the first time, walking toward the profound quest necessary to transcend the dual world.

If one is to capture the essence of things in order to solve some problem, everyone must first step outside of those frames of the problem. This is because no one can grasp the essence of things while they are stuck in that frame.
Only when one gets out of that frame, and away from the mind that has value judgments, will one be able to make pure observations to capture the essence. Only then can one begin to use the cosmic wisdom necessary for true resolution.

Ultimately, what humanity needs is not a paradigm shift that will eventually settle in the dual world, nor a mere change in individual conscious, but a much, much greater change. Only with that change will the ideals that humanity dreams of in the dual world be able to be realized in a way that is completely different from how they were imagined.

That great change is, so to speak, ‘enlightenment = spiritual awakening.’

This is the first time when a person begins to deepen ‘enlightenment = spiritual awakening,’ in which the beliefs one had held until then are overturned from the bottom up through sincere self-inquiry, and the perception of oneself and one’s existence itself is completely transformed. Only then, the ideal that the mind and ego dream of, the love of unconditional acceptance, and the calm serenity will emerge spontaneously from within the person.

But this unconditional love felt in the heart and the calm serenity that is the true nature of our essence are completely different from the emotions that the mind within the illusion imagines it were. In fact, this is something that each of us needs to comprehend more deeply than anything else. The path of deepening this comprehending is the way toward ‘enlightenment = spiritual awakening.’

This ‘enlightenment = spiritual awakening,’ which no one can force, no one can teach, even if one can point the way, cannot begin unless one questions one’s own obvious. It is also essential to surrender everything that the mind or ego thinks it knows – all concepts, will power, imagination, or whatsoever.

Otherwise, we will simply be creating just new dramas of illusion out of self-deception.

The answers for the simple questions to your own obvious lie only within you. It is simply your choice to end or continue the quest.

However, there is no need to choose what mind thinks is ‘better’ or ‘best’ here.

Just continue to ask the question, “Who exactly am I?” and “What kind of being is there that transcends the mind and ego?”

Do not try to understand the concept easily or try to know the answer with your mind, but keep these profound questions which are actually within you even long before you knew it, with your heart as unknown if they are unknown. (OM 🙏)
