“Asking for”

“Asking for”

“ASKING FOR”

Whatever it may be, the reason we ask for something from people (including ourselves) or the world is because we cannot embrace the reality as what is.

In other words, because we cannot embrace what is, we are reflectively reacting like, “You guys, should do something so that ‘I’ can accept it,” or, in an extreme example, “I’m right, so you should obey.”

This is because the mind (ego) cannot see that reality is always perfect and functions perfectly according to the laws of nature, and also it perceives the ego as “evil.” That’s why the mind “resists” reality by disguising itself as “good” (“disguise” is always directed at itself, an unconscious reaction to deceive itself).

However, the truth is that consciousness (God, impersonal you) never ask for anything from anyone; it is always omnipresent as it is, without form, center, or any fixed point, timelessly and spacelessly, as an unchanging wholeness, openness, which it is always beyond the mind’s (ego’s) understanding.

The reason we are unaware of (or do not yet embrace) these facts about ourselves is because we identify with the memories, thoughts (for example, “It’s unreasonable that I’m the only one who has to accept this fact”) or emotions that may arise when we observe ourselves, and take them as real, which creates an irresistible resistance and prevents us from seeing through ourselves as what is with the awareness.

When the pure awareness sees through these facts as they are with the clarity of the innermost stillness, resistance never occurs whatsoever, and facts are embraced as facts, and illusions naturally dissolve.

In other words, what is needed is to realize the mind (ego) that runs away from facts without realizing it as a result of becoming unconsciously attached to (identify with) the thoughts, emotions and the memories that may arise when we observe ourselves.

By abiding in the innermost stillness.

Lastly.

The greatest contribution or devotion each of us can do for humanity is not to memorize interpretations of truths (second-hand knowledge), or go around preaching them, or deceive ourselves such as “I am awakened,” but to truly awaken, and continue to become aware that whenever the dregs of the mind (ego) and identification with illusion manifest by remaining in that awareness.
