“Awareness”

“Awareness”

“AWARENESS”

You’ve likely experienced many things in your life, including various difficulties, pain, sadness, anger, and other negative emotions, as well as positive emotions like joy and happiness.

At times, you may have given in to anger and lashed out at someone or something, or been overcome with sorrow and pain that you cried.

On the other hand, you may have been blessed with good fortune or been so happy about an accomplishment that you were overjoyed and excited.

So, here’s a question:

Have you ever noticed that deep within, far beyond the “‘I’-self” that you are aware of, there is something invisible and untouchable that silently and still watches all of your words and (re)actions?

We believe that we grow as people through challenges and are refined in various ways. And we blindly believe that our weaknesses must be corrected, because of belief that we are “inadequate as a person,” or otherwise, it is precisely because we are “inadequate” that we need to learn from someone special who is admired and acquire many things such as konwlege, experiences, or so, to become a full-fledged person, without ever questioning about that beliefs.

And because of this blind belief (i.e., identification with thoughts, the mind’s (ego’s) unconscious projections and interpretations), you may unconsciously believe that you are definitely an experiencer, “‘I’-self,” who mustn’t avoidably go through all experiences of both intense emotional or not, such as writhing pain, sadness, or ecstatic joy, or so.

However…

Both life and you don’t need to be improved into something better.

There is no such thing of task that you have to become a better person, or to improve your life at all, for example, to eliminate all negativity from within and make everything positive, etc. Rather, you simply need to fully awaken from such illusion.

All of those is due to identification with the phantom “I” that you believe exists through thought, and your attachment to a particular state, caused by that illusion.

The truth is that there is something formless deep within your self-recognition of “I” that is silently observing or aware of all this, and that is the very awareness, the essence, The Self.

Abide in that awareness and allow thoughts, emotions, sensations, and even experiences to come and go.

There is no need to control or eliminate any of them.

They are not your possessions, nor are they the possesstions of the essence, the awareness.

They just appear to appear and disappear through you in the field of consciousness, which is the openness of infinite possibility.

You are not the thinker or the experiencer of anything; it is the pure awareness that is aware of them, that exists through you as the essence, the absolute reality, which is an infinitely omnipresent formless of consciousness that is aware of the impermanence of things appearing and disappearing.

Furthermore, consciousness, awareness is inherently completely free, even without doing anything.

It is never attached to anything, nor does own anything.

So, for example, the awareness doesn’t lose temper or flip out if something isn’t as usual.

Losing temper is simply through your identification with thought. The awakened awareness does not become emotional, and never needs even any effort of the illusory self, the “I” not to lose temper.

It is because the awareness is purely present, is never driven by identification with thoughts or emotions, or attachment to particular states.

Thus, if your actions are reflexive reactions but not spontaneous by the heart, that must be a spiritual challenge for you. In that case, clarify by unraveling each one of the trigger that is causing you to fall in such reaction, and moreover, see through with the clarity of innermost stillness any identification with “I”’s memories of that trigger, blind beliefs, and attachment to specific states.

Once you can clearly see through the tangle there, it will no longer be the tangle, and has to be naturally untangled.

This will be a natural “liberation” from an invisible, illusory cage, and is not one that is intentional and effortful, with liberation itself as its goal by the “aspiration” of the mind (ego) that desperately needs to become someone else.

This will let you as the awareness effortlessly liberate from the unconscious phantom identifications and attachments that make you feel powerfully so powerless, and abiding in awareness will become more natural. (OM 🙏)
