“It always begins with ‘awareness.’”

“It always begins with ‘awareness.’”

“IT ALWAYS BEGINS WITH ‘AWARENESS.’”

Spiritual transformation always begins with becoming aware of one’s own words and (re)actions.

From that awareness, questions naturally arise and self-inquiry begins.

“Why do I always react this way in certain situations?”

“Why do things always end up the same way?”

“Why am I always unhappy, or unsatisfied?”

Until these spontaneous self-questions arise, we, without realizing it, keep deceiving ourselves into believing an illusion again and again, as ‘I’ of personal self, as if we have understood them, by rationally, logically, or conceptually interpretting the words of sages.

In other words, simply imitating secondhand ideas will ever remain unchanged (or over and over again), even leaving no room for the natural transformation that begins with awareness.

Furthermore, this habitual pattern remains true no matter how many times spiritual experiences, such as mystical ones, one has had, until all the mind (ego) is completely dismantled (dissolved).

This is the habit of the mind (ego) that needs to become someone, and until a new awareness emerges within, we will never be able to become aware of even the various facts that are led to self-inquiry.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

The mind (ego) cannot become aware of anything new in the first place.

On the other hand, awareness will naturally surrender all the control or effort of the mind (ego) through clarity, and unavoidably dismantle, dissolve (death) of the mind (ego).

So whenever awareness is on the verge of becoming aware of something, the mind (ego) endlessly comes up very clever deceptions and fabricated stories, out of fear of dismantlment and dissolution, and remains intoxicated in the safe world of the known by identification with them.

Be aware of yourself of now.

Be aware of what you are doing.

Then ask yourself why you are in that way.

At that time, absolutely do not try to answer those questions.

If you could answer that question as awareness, you wouldn’t be taking that action in that way right now.

So if you find yourself trying to answer with that you’ve heard somewhere before, realize that it’s just the mind’s (ego’s) reaction that craves for becoming someone, it is never as awareness.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

Being purely as awareness is completely different from clinging to a story fabricated by the mind (ego) or treating it as fact.

Awareness allows for freedom from attachment through the natural, effortless dismantling of illusions by seeing through with clarity, which is the very way of purifying the mind (ego).

On the other hand, attachment to the mind’s (ego’s) stories, which stem from identification, inevitably leads to suffering in a habitual reality of the illusion.

Ultimately, in the same way, with new awareness, awareness will naturally abide in pure awareness, day after day, moment after moment.

There’s no control or effort of the mind (ego) involved. (OM 🙏)
