“THE INWARD-TURNING SPIRITUALITY AND THE OUTWARD-TURNING MIND (EGO)”

Spirituality is totally unknown to the mind (ego).

On the other hand, the mind (ego) always only interprets things in the head as intellectual or logical understanding.

Therefore, merely memorizing words of sage, which is just the unconscious interpretations or putting that interpretation into actions by doership will never lead to spiritual awakening or awareness.

This is because, in doing so, the mind (ego) only reinforces identification with the illusion of having become someone by a disguise that suits the mind (ego).

It does not also lead to detachment from the mind (ego), thoughts at all.

Many of us can hardly recognize this difference and even more reinforce identification with and attachment to our personal selves—that is, the mind (ego), memories of experiences, and thoughts—such as “how much correct spiritual knowledge I have” and “how much experience I have accumulated,” therefore, it very easily leads them to arguments that starts with reactions, in every situation.

Or, even if we could avoid conflict on the surface through self-control by conscious mind (ego; it only accounts for less than 10% of our total consciousness), we would be completely consumed by the indignation or wrath within, experiencing so-called “suffering.”

This is because we feel that this directly affects the survival of our mind (ego), that is, dignity.

Nonetheless, we insist in words that “my mind (ego) and my body are not me.”

The truth is that there is no “self” to protect anywhere.

The identification with the thoughts surrounding the memory of the “self” that we cling to is the very illusion itself, and it is this unconscious attachment that causes us to resist what is.

Spirituality is not about memorizing the words of sage.

There is also no one who can ever be guided by any sage, except surrendering the mind (ego), all the attachment, identification with phantom self completely.

However, by observing and inquiring yourself with the clarity of innermost stillness, you connect with the pure spirituality of universal wisdom as leaving the mind (ego), and you can see what is with the eyes of heart for the first time, not the clouded eyes of your mind (ego). Furthermore, by seeing through the unconscious illusions, phantom self, that lies with thoughts, only then will dissolve illusion, and spiritually awaken.

This efforless transformed state, completely freed from the mind (ego), non-self as awareness, is true nature, and it is the moment when awareness comes into direct connect with unconditional love.

This is completely different from the attachment that the mind (ego) that misperceives self as a separate individual, believes to be “love,” and there is no personal self anywhere who gives such unconditional love.

Because that ultimate love is exactly what The Self is.

In other words, there is no special existence or personality, but, there is only omnipresent consciousness.

Turn a certain level of attention, awareness inwardly at all times continuously.

Spirituality is not something that can be gathered by going outward, but something that can only be grasped with the heart by going inward and seeing infinitely deep into oneself. (OM 🙏)
