“AS SPIRITUAL AWAKENING DEEPENS”

One can come to abide in a state of constant self-observation with a certain level of awareness. And when one becomes aware that the words and reactions one observes are only superficial, then by deepening self-inquiry from there to clarify the root, illusion is dismantled, and so it becomes increasingly natural for one to abide in a state of openness, non-self.

Furthermore, as one’s eyes become increasingly opened through this awareness and embrace, one become more able to begin to see the true essence of things, and simultaneously, one’s ears also become more able to listen to beyond the superficial words and reactions, to the deeper level of the mind (ego), as well as the voiceless voice of the heart.

Nevertheless, in this prosess, no judgments, definitions, interpretations, or so, by the mind (ego) never intervene at all.

This is because these are not motivated by the goal of improving personal “oneself,” escaping suffering, or desire of attaining enlightenment and so on, but rather by a genuine curiosity and inquiry to humbly know the facts as they are and grasp the truth, with detachment from the mind (ego), which has tendency to interpret everything as convinient for it.

In this way, not through effort, but through the patience of carefully clarifying the facts, the depth of openness of heart deepens and the degree of it also widens.

These transformations are irreversible and inevitable, and even if inner or outer movement of habitual patterns of the mind (ego) are subsequently observed, they will surely disappear one by one as one becomes aware of them and clarify their roots.

Looking at it from another angle, one becomes aware of the fact that until then, even though one’s eyes were wide open, but in fact, one was unable to see the essence at all, and even though one’s ear could hear, but one was never able to hear the voices deep within at all. And in this way, by clearly coming to comprehend the esoteric facts that things can never be known simply by what appears on the surface, and that there are always hidden infinite possibilities of the unknown, and thus, the irreversible and inevitable transformation can spontaneously be manifested.

It never happens by any effort with the mind (ego), or any spiritual knowledge the mind (ego) collected.

Furthermore, in this way, by abiding in the openness and clarity of the innermost stillness as non-self, one becomes able to see oneself and even divinity with awe in the words and reactions of others that one sees and hears, that is, in all others that the mind (ego) thinks are separate from it, and comes to witness every moment of the day the truth that in fact there are no others anywhere, but only one omnipresent consciousness as wholeness.
