“WHAT LOSING TEMPER REPRESENTS“

Of course, there is attachment there, which supports that emotion.

Attachment to something, such as the good feelings or good state the mind (ego) thinks can always cause the mental resistance.

For example, when you lose those pleasant feelings you are attached to, mental resistance causes anger, as if something outside, people or circumstance, takes good thing away from you.

However, the anger is always caused by attachment to, craving, greed, wants, or self-identity with mere appearing and disappearing feelings into “my feelings,” which is “mine.”

Then, why one is attaced to them or identified with?

It is because under such mental resistance, there are usually deep grief or pain that is difficult to deal with, and not fully recognized and embraced, which is not yet sublimated energy, and even deeper level, feeling of powerlessness, shame, or fear, which is caused by inadequateness, or other negative emotions, whch directly linked to the value of existence.

However, such anger, which caused by illusory self-identity with “I,” with one’s memories and experiences is, to begin with, caused by the interpretation and stturborn beliefs that separated individual self exists, gets hurt, and can never completely heal, and thus that it has to be protected.

In this way, losing one’s temper is always hiding various negative emotions, identifications, and attachments as disguise. (OM 🙏)
