“WHY MISTAKES ARE IMPOSSIBLE IN LIFE”

It’s because your entire world (reality) exists because of your perception.

If you are unable to perceive—that is, if you’re not yet ready to face it—awareness observes, including all of that, is always present in the “here and now,” but you won’t perceive it.

This is, in a sense, why it’s said that what happens will happen, and that everyone is where they need to be and meets the people they need.

So, for example, no one can judge something as “good or bad” based on whether they can perceive it or not.

This is because this inability to perceive everything is actually a natural, unconscious self-defense mechanism of the mind (ego).

Because the mind (ego) is trapped in various ideas about right and wrong, and one’s own success or failure (this doesn’t mean that this is bad, but rather that there are still unsublimated emotional experiences due to deep sadness or pain), conversely, without this ego defense mechanism, it would collapse.

This is why it’s said, “Leave other people and the world to themselves.”

This function is necessary for the mind (ego), but to begin with, the mind (ego) is not the essence; The Self, who is impersonal, non-self, clearly have no need to be ashamed of the fact that the mind (ego) needs it.

Rather, you need to become aware of this identification with the mind (ego) and that existence of the mind (ego) never means wrong.

However, by identifying with the mind (ego), people operate under the false assumption that there is always one correct answer, that “everyone recognizes and understands it in the same way, or that it must be that way,” as if knowing that answer would mean that mistakes would never happen, people would never get hurt, and the world would become free of conflict, and they end up resisting what is.

This is nothing more than like a tantrum-throwing reaction to the facts, saying, “This is not my ‘prediction = correct answer’ (a thought that is merely understanding or interpretation at that time).”

Furthermore, unless we constantly observe our own words and reactions carefully, we will not be even aware of them, and as a result, our identified mind (ego) will often tyrannically brandish its sense of righteousness and blame others for their inability to face the facts.

However, while these actions may appear to be directed at others, in reality they are merely a denial (or criticism) of oneself for not being able (or were not being able) to recognize something, and in the end, they keep being trapped in an illusion and keep tormenting oneself.

In fact, even when faced with the same truth, the extent to which each person can grasp it will vary depending on the degree of surrender of the mind (ego), or openness of the heart. In extreme cases, completely opposite understandings (interpretations) may even emerge, and as a matter of fact, the truth that is grasped will vary slightly depending on the number of people who see it.

This is why it is ultimately said that “people cannot be saved by others” or “people cannot force to understand teachings.”

On the other hand, truth has never been hidden, spanning far beyond the history of humankind; it is always here and now.

Therefore, naturally, when anyone is ready, they will come awareness that corresponds to their level of readiness, and the depth of its awareness will naturally deepen.

For example, you may suddenly recall a word that expresses your current “awareness” that you didn’t completely understand when you first encountered it in the past, or that you didn’t even remember, and may then realize something important: “Oh, so that’s what it really meant.”

So when sages say, “Do not be afraid. Let go of the veil, that is your attachment, that obscures the truth,” what they are saying is, that “Get ready” and also that truth is not something to be feared, and that you need courage to face what is and to see through (embrace) the facts as you are.

This is because one cannot move toward openness without becoming aware of it, and yet the mind (ego) is always interpreting things and trying to be someone convenient, so an initial “decision” is absolutely necessary.

Without this, the mind (ego) will unconsciously avoid facing itself, which is what it fears most, by making various excuses, such as unconscious beliefs like, “That person can do it, but I don’t.”

In relative duality, by its very nature, the moment one chooses good, for example, evil is always created (it just isn’t manifested). Therefore, any ideal will never be able to happen even though the mind (ego) dreams of being able to control one side through rational choice and leave only one side.

In non-duality (oneness), on the other hand, there is no good or bad in either of these things or anything else; everything simply occurs as one of the possibilities.

Impermanence is impermanence, and it never transforms into something permanent.

Truth, non-duality, is not the opposite of relative duality, but rather refers to the infinite space in which any posibilities that any of it is indivisible in any way merely unconditionally occur.

Therefore, it is not the case that simply attaining correct knowledge, or spiritual awakening one time, will make everyone OK, as is often in the fantasy of the mind (ego).

While this may seem possible within the illusion of relative duality, that is precisely the illusion (belief, fantasy), and this is not the case with non-duality.

In fact, while spiritual awakening is a lofty level of contribution to humanity, no matter what level of openness we are at, there is never a moment when that state of being does not contribute to wholeness, transcending time and space.

For example, even if there is someone who ends their life attached to the ego without spiritual awakening, but anyone can see both illusion and truth, and the profundity of truth through the way of being of that person and use it as an opportunity for new awareness and deepen comprehension of the truth.

This can be possible because we are always interrelated with each other as one indivisible consciousness.

However, the mind (ego), as a separate self, may feel pity for such a person, or try to help or teach them under the illusion that they are someone, and become increasingly attached to that false self-image.

This is egotistical conceit, but it is also a necessary ego trap for those who are trapped in, so it is not a problem; it means that it simply creates another necessary of opportunity for self-realization.

Nevertheless, because identification with the mind (ego) is an illusion, the mind (ego) never becomes someone as an “individual being”, such as attaining enlightenment, nirvana, etc.. Rather, by always seeing each fact through with the clarity of innermost stillness, all illusions disappear, and only then will the Self as its true essence inevitably become apparent.

And even if there is a moment in which we become aware of that absolute reality, the Self, the need for continued openness for new awareness (comprehension of the truth) never disappears.

This is because the wholeness that is The Self has no beginning or end, is never completed or incomplete, but transcendentally it simply exists as pure. (OM 🙏)
