“THE OBSCURE AND CRAFTY LIE OF THE INNER MONOLOGUE”
By gaining spiritual knowledge, the mind (ego) persuades itself, “OK, I’m The Self, so I don’t have to do anything,” or by imitating spiritual actions, it keeps lying itself by being addicted to doership : “I’m consciousness! Yay! I’ve awakened!” or “I’m doing (or know) the right thing, so I’m fine.”
By taking these lies of the inner monologue seriously and clinging to the illusion that one has become someone through secondhand knowledge and imitation, one becomes increasingly addicted to the various illusions as real originating from the “personal self.”
Like any other addiction, this addiction inevitably leads to further lies to oneself until one becomes aware of this state.
In reality, these lies eventually and unavoidably come to drive the “me”—the “personal self”—into a corner.
This is because Awareness (God) is always witnessing everything without being hidden anything, and aware of everything, however one’s current self-perception is, and the internal inconsistency caused by the discrepancy between such the facts grasped in the heart and the lies told by the mind (ego) inevitably leads to suffering and further self-escape, or in the end, to an inevitable dead end (the ultimate blessing of surrendering the mind (ego)).
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
This happens because the mind (ego) fears the truth.
While the mind (ego) views itself as shameful or inadequate, in order to maintain mental balance, it also takes great pride in what it can and knows, becoming more and more attached to its sense of doership, the “personal-self.”
However, the basis of self-perception is still duality, and its lie does not only never leads to spiritual awakening, but as a matter of fact, such identification with the mind (ego, doership) is the most powerful obstacle to the Self (God, the truth).
Because it is precisely that there is undeniable self-perception at the root that one is not the Self at non-dual, that is, one is the separated “personal-self,” therefore, one keeps striving, and clinging to the misidentification with the “I”, “me” who can accomplish something.
However, the initial “negation” always leads to unavoidably find new “lack” due to comparison by the mind (ego) within relative duality and never leads to non-duality as “affirmation.”
This is the paradox.
The more the mind (ego) seeks it, the further away the truth unavoidably becomes.
࿓࿓࿓࿓
Furthermore, by phenomena that birds of a feather flock together, or conversely, it attracts antithesis, the mind (ego) unknowingly keeps giving energy to the duality as real, and further reinforces the illusion of the misidentification with personal-self, “I.”
Furthermore, in this state, the mind (ego) actually wants to keep believing the lie, and out of fear of being forced to face the truth, it can even unconsciously (i.e. reflexively) try to avoid it by becoming aggressive towards others, directly or indirectly.
This is because, it is tantamount to being told that all of the efforts made up to that point are in vain, and also what the deception that has been so firmly buid up are exposed shakes the very foundation of the mind (ego), thus, they are totally both difficult for the mind (ego) to accept and extremely frightening.
In this way, the mind (ego) remains unaware of its own attachment to the personal self as doership, that thinks, analyzes, judges, and interprets in its head.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
One can become aware of these great lies of the mind (ego, thoughts) by turning one’s attention inward and engaging in continuous, sincere self-observation and self-inquiry without any judgment or reliance on any spiritual knowledge, concepts, or ideas.
Only through the clarity of this innermost stillness can one save themselves.
Because it is in the absence of the mind (ego, doership) that one can humbly observe facts as they are, and moreover, because of the selflessness, the facts as they are are spontaneously embraced, even without any intention or effort.
Only the peace as natural liberation born from clear awareness through clarity of the innermost stillness can arise there.

《Differences in Manifestations》
Those who assert their correctness or engage in debate (fight) are those who always interpret things and identify with the mind (ego, thoughts) as the self, and that is, those who reflectively react driven by fear (sometimes it turns into anger) of having their interpretations shaked.
The truth they claim is always a secondhand, or interpretation based on what is already known, and never the truth, moreover, not even wisdom at all.
On the other hand, those who have grasped the truth directly, are not swayed by any comparisons or judgments, and choose not to participate in any debates, due to based on comprehension of an indisputable non-duality.
They deeply comprehend that there is no one to argue with or debate (fight) with anywhere as the Self at the non-duality, and moreover, even if sincerely seeking nececcary wisdom, never relying on external knowledge or information, and yet humbly always leave the timing of awareness and its content of the wisdom to the unknown.
