“The mind (ego, illusion) that seeks stability, and the impermanence of phenomena that appear in the field of absolute reality.”

“THE MIND (EGO, ILLUSION) THAT SEEKS STABILITY, AND THE IMPERMANENCE OF PHENOMENA THAT APPEAR IN THE FIELD OF ABSOLUTE REALITY.”

The mind (ego) always seeks stability.

It seeks a single answer (method) and clings to it.

It wants to decide everything as black and white, good or bad.

It wants good (correctness) and eliminate evil (mistake).

It is obsessed with improving itself, believing that it will bring about better world.

And once it achieves something, it wants to think that it will remain unchanged.

And it fears all change.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

These are all clear examples of the mind’s (ego’s) deception.

As a matter of fact, whether good or evil, both are self-righteous, dogmatic minds (egos)—merely two sides of the same coin.

It is not true essence at all; it is merely an illusion, a collection of thoughts, interpretations, or judgments.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

For example, out of self-denial or self-loathing, the mind (ego) keeps deluding itself into a fantacy that it can become someone if it attains enlightenment, and so, indulge in spiritual knowledge and spiritual doings, and become obsessed with their identity as the doer, immersing itself in comparisons, analyzing or defining itself and others.

Also, for example, in marriage, one of human relationship that is essentially for spiritual learning and practice, the mind (ego) vows to “remain unchanged for the rest of their lives” and impose the law that “this promise must be fulfilled.”

Moreover, this law places emphasis on how the mind (ego) that is obsessed with the black-and-white perceives mere phenomena.

In this environment, it can be often denied that people’s way of being are even changed through internal transformation.

And so, fearing that the stability to which the mind (ego) clings to will be destroyed, they try to control situations and others and deeply attach to the other person more and more.

This is completely different from love at all, but it is simply attachment.

Unless we become aware that it is attachment, it remains nothing more than a means of escaping from our ultimate fear.

That’s why we fight.

We blame others to keep escaping the fear of facing ourselves directly.

What we have here is self-escape, a desire for recognition, and a negative, destructive, and competitive energy seeking only acceptance of values that represent the ideals our minds (egos) cling to.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

But everything in this world is impermanent.

Nothing is permanent.

Even the transcendence of duality (enlightenment, the complete absence of the mind (ego)), which the mind (ego) can never know, does not end just because we experience it.

It is simply the awareness that there is no beginning and no end.

Everything remains impermanent and constantly changing.

That’s why, until we completely surrender our minds (egos) to this truth and unconditionally surrender to the infinite possibilities of the unknown, we will keep creating all kinds of suffering.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

Don’t think about or speculate about the truth, but simply observe yourself as you are now.

Even if there’s no need for excuses, your mind (ego) will always find all sorts of excuses and keep stating them as if they were facts.

But no one else can change your self-awareness.

And certainly no one else can change and live your life for you.

See through with clarity in the innermost stillness who on earth it is that deceives you into thinking I “know,” “understand,” and “am a good person” and what needs them.

See through that it’s simply the mind (ego) that claims, “I didn’t do that,” or “I’m not that kind of mind (ego),” and clarify whether that mind (ego) is truly substantial.

Then, after all, when all the unnecessary things have been stripped away (the mind (ego) is dismantled and sublimated as each illusion is revealed), see what is left behind.
