“BEWARE THE CRAFTINESS OF THE MIND (EGO).”
Many people think that they are deepening their spiritual learning by imitating the words and actions of various sages, but as a matter of fact, this is not at all through their own awareness (they just want to think that it is their own awareness), and in fact, it has become an addiction that allows them to continue to turn a blind eye to themselves, without even realizing it.
Therefore, despite possessing a vast amount of spiritual knowledge or having practiced spiritual practices for many years, they are completely unaware of their own unconscious words and reactions, the craftiness of their mind (ego), the depth of their deception, their own hidden motivations, and the underlying feelings of inadequacy, self-loathing, and fear.
Many people are so afraid to confront themselves head-on, yet are even unaware of the fears itself that harbor within themselves (their minds (egos)).
And this, paradoxically, is why they become so attached to spiritual learning, and despite their vast knowledge and practices, due to they can’t face themselves squarely, everything they do is superficial (deception by the mind (ego)), and they never come true self-knowledge.
This state keeps until one becomes aware of this fact for oneself.
Some may not even realize this until physical death in this lifetime.

That’s how rare it is to be aware of self-awarness. Thus, when it does occur, in fact, the lies one’s mind (ego) has been pilling up to that point are revealed, and one is incredibly surprised by the fact.
It’s truly a moment when scales fall from one’s eyes and one begins to see the true nature of things (and it happens more than once or twice).
This is a natural survival tactic of the mind (ego), and in fact, it cannot be avoided by being careful.
Until one becomes prepared to face oneself sincerely, humbly, and thoroughly, like an addict who can hardly face themselves, we all can only and unknowingly keep deceiving ourselves that we are “doing it,” but actually, nothing will change both inwardly and outwardly.
In truth, until then, no matter how hard one tries, no one will ever be directly able to grasp The Self.
Because even here, self-awareness is required.
“What exactly am I doing?”

This isn’t about what’s right or wrong; this is how the natural state of the mind (ego) is.
If you continue reading this and don’t realize that your mind (ego) is telling you “I’m different,” that’s proof that you’re still falling trap of the mind’s (ego’s) deception.
It means you’re experiencing the experiences necessary to realize this facts.
In fact, if we pour all our heart and soul into even these deceptions, sooner or later we’ll be able to become aware of the facts as they are.
That’s how it is.
There’s no superiority or inferiority anywhere.
Far from being hopeless, this is the “now” moment, overflowing with unknown possibilities. Deep within it all is the vibrant “life” of the impersonal Self, which is always present.

This may be useful, if not right now, then someday.
