“We will become no one.”

“We will become no one.”

“WE WILL BECOME NO ONE.”

To awaken spiritually is to transcendently become aware that we never had to become anything.

This is what we become aware that the mind (ego) we have taken to be “ourselves” (including bodies and achievements) is not The Self in the first place, and that none of the judgments of good and evil on which the mind (ego) relies are based, and also become aware that these are merely tools for becoming aware of The Self (the essence), and that the essence is “consciousness itself,” which has always existed far behind those tools and the various illusions they have created. At this moment, the center of self-awareness tremendously shifts beyond our imagination, expanding toward infinity and completely transcending the framework of the individual.

This sudden, unexpected transcendental shift in the center of self-awareness inevitably leads us to irreversible transformation.

This is not the result of an effort by the “I” as a “personal self” to transcend its boundaries, nor is it the result of an attempt by “me” to attain enlightenment.

On the contrary, it can only happen by completely surrendering all desires, expectations, and efforts with the mind (ego), and even surrendering the “I” – the “personal self” that is the mind (ego) that has created those desires and expectations.

This also means fully embracing the fact that the “I” – the “personal self” – “knows nothing” and “is unable to become aware of anything” about what is truly significant as existence, and sincerely bowing down before the unknown.

At that moment, the “I” – the “personal self” that has the awareness of having “become enlightened” or “spiritually awakened,” as imagined by the mind (ego), does not exist anywhere.

This fact that one can only become aware of The Self by surrendering the mind (ego) means that, out of feeling of isolation and bottomless feeling of anxiety cut off from the source that arises from identirying the self with the mind (ego) or body, for example, it can never be achieved by depending on religious gods or sages to avoid facing the harsh facts of life, or by efforts of the mind (ego), which clings to correctness and control with insisting that problems are always outside.

Instead, it is about becoming aware of The Self, which is consciousness as wholeness, that has no need for such effort at all, and at that moment it is about returning to essential state of being as itself without intending; it is not about “I” being enlightened anything or becoming someone else.

On the flip side, if there is no transcendental shift of the center of self-awareness, and thus the worldview does not spontaneously and fundamentally transform as well, then it can never be enlightenment, is a deception, clever manipulation by the mind (ego) that desperately wants to be someone else, and in other words, it’s a lie towards oneself as spiritual existence (the essence).

It’s totally illusion.

Self-observation and self-inquiry is for us to become aware of such deception, manipulation, and lies told to oneself by the mind (ego), and with that awareness, it is in order to detach ourselves from that mind (ego). And thus, if we can not sincerely observe oneself or continuously turn attention inward, without judgment with the clarity that can only be obtained in the innermost stillness, then naturally we will not grasp wisdom or awaken to the Self.
As a result, we will seek outside of ourselves the mind (ego) considers as certain (beings separate from ourselves that have been worshipped throughout the ages or widely known as sages; duality), and we will keep being attached to them as before.

In that case, while the mind (ego) is under unconscious that is unaware (more than 90% of awareness, beyond its control with effort), the unconditional acceptance or compassion that come from clarity, nor the abundance of spiritual learning that is always in relationships with others will not arise.

Furthermore, even if it is not superficial, various competitions, comparisons about how superior or inferior you are, judgments, envy, jealousy, anger, resentment, cursing, sadness, anxiety, etc. will keep on swirling as internal monologue in the mind as before.

At that moment, there will be no peace, no stillness, no impersonal ultimate love, nothing of essence within us. (OM 🙏)
