“In the innermost stillness”

“IN THE INNERMOST STILLNESS”

As we become accustomed to self-observation in the innermost stillness, we begin to exist with that silence with a degree of awareness on a regular basis. This allows us to simply observe the true essence of things, the facts as they are, without judging the words or actions of others or ourselves, or analyzing which stage of spiritual awakening we are.

Because this observation is always free from the biases of the mind (ego), it is clarity, as if an invisible fog has cleared, and we will be able to become aware of previously unawareness of facts about ourselves.

In this moment, there is no distinction between “I” and others, and we no longer perceive the mind (ego) that we once thought of as ourselves as something personal. Instead, we simply observe the mind (ego) as one of holistic phenomenon, deepening its comprehension of it.

In this way, as an internal work, the more we can detach the mind (ego) as an illusory “personal self” by clarification the difference between the essence as “true” and the mind (ego) as “false”, the more unrealistic the various excuses and thoughts of the mind (ego) will gradually feel, even though they flounder around like an illusion struggling to survive.

As a result, we will no longer consider someone as “evil, wrong, or inferior” and psychologically cut off and criticize them, or, conversely, consider someone as “good, right, or superior” and worship or praise them as the psychological dependence or guarantee necessary for the survival of a separated and isolated mind (ego).

Not only that, we will come to comprehend that psychologically cutting off someone as “evil, wrong, or inferior,” or, conversely, worshipping someone as “good, right, or superior,” is itself a reaction that perpetuates the illusion of the mind (ego) and is a clever justification by the mind (ego) for its dogmaticalness and self-righteousness.

In this way, the inner comprehension of universal wisdom, awareness, and truth gained through self-observation and self-inquiry in the innermost stillness inevitably and spontaneously comes to be manifested itself as external transformation.

At that time, there is no effort or intention to transform ourselves in any way.

This is because, through the innermost stillness, we come to comprehend that there is no need to become anyone at all.

Each of us must find this innermost stillness within ourselves.

And once we can find that stillness within, we will come to comprehend what guids us spiritually, in the past, present, and future, is never someone else, but instead, that it is precisely ourselves, this impersonal essence through the innermost stillness, and that it is our own mind (ego) we have been misidentified as the personal self that always teaches us about the mind (ego).

There is no longer arrogance or self-deprecation as the “personal self”, no “I” to improve anywhere, instead, just the “now” as the essence, that is, the eternal moment of the pure joy of just being with liberated freedom. (OM 🙏)
