“SELF-OBSERVATION”

Criticizing oneself or others for what says or does, or trying not to criticize, is likewise always a mere doingness, reaction by the Mind (ego).

Deep down, there is an ultimate fear of separation or death, of ceasing to exist, of becoming meaningless, and thereby, the mind (ego) is always in desperately trying to become someone better than who it is now, while at the same time being hurt that it is not accepted as it is now.

In fact, this is what is called an unconscious past reenactment behavior.

On the other hand, since the human brain cannot distinguish between self and others, for example, even if we recognize that someone else is wrong and criticize them, or try not to criticize them, but in fact, we unconsciously direct the very same thing at ourselves at the same time.

In other words, that “ideal, way things should be” is correct for the mind (ego), and that is why we criticize ourselves and others, or try not to criticize as well.

However, in the manifest mind of awareness, the mind (ego) always desperately control ourselves to be that “ideal,” therefore, we cannot realize that we are forcing ourselves in the same way, and as a result, it works as a self-deceive, we fall into arrogant of the mind (ego) without realizing it, as if everyone else is unaware but we are the only one who is awake.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

To determine where our self-awareness lies in self-observation, pay attention to our own doingness, such as we are criticizing or trying not to criticize (both internal and external).

When we criticize or try not to criticize ourselves or someone else, is our awareness completely identified with the mind (ego) (i.e., we are completely absorbed in that idea)?

Or are we able to detach ourselves from that criticism or the effort not to criticize and observe ourselves without any criticism whatsoever?

If it is the latter, then that is the essence, is completely out of the mind (ego).

In that case, the next step is to become aware that deep within you there is a pure desire from the heart to comprehend yourself and to realize Ultimate Love. It is so much so that you can constantly observe yourself unintentionally and without judgement.

Or, if the former, then become aware that you are in alignment with the very essence at the moment you become aware of it.

Or, if you don’t know what’s what, or can’t distinguish between them, then from now on, continue to be careful and make it a habit to ask yourself the following questions whenever you have the chance:

“Who is thinking that?”

“Who is it for?”

The plausible answer you will hear after asking that question is undoubtedly self-deceive by the mind (ego), so the next thing to do is to get away from that.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

Having said that, none of this is to be rushed.

Be patient and determine whether our own words and actions are the mind’s (ego’s) desire to escape from who we are now, from the environment we are in, from hardship, or whether they are a longing from the heart that overflows from deep within.

If it is a longing from the heart, then we will be able to squarely face ourselves as we are whatever the mind (ego) considers either way, such as bad or good behavior of our own.

In that case, it will not be long before we step into a more profound world.

However, if it is the desire of the mind (ego), we will unknowingly deceive ourselves by the mind (ego), just because we think we are self-observing.

Having said that, even if it is a self-deceive, there is no need to judge it in any way, because it is true that we are definitely in a period of having the experiences necessary to accept such a facts.

On the contrary, pay attention to whether you fall into the trap of the mind (ego) judging that it is not good because it is from the mind (ego).

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

The next thing we can realize through self-observation is emotions, but emotions are just energy.

Although any emotions are all created by the mind (ego), treating them as something that does not exist or suppressing them is not only counterproductive, but it will one day cause the stagnant energy to erupt like an explosion, contrary to expectations, so whether it is thoughts or emotions, just let them appear and disappear.

Do not even struggle to change them.

The purpose of the self-observation is about realizing the essence, that is never swayed by whatever appears within.

Or, to become aware of oneself being swayed by it is the beginning of self-observation.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

Ultimately, self-observation is something that is undertaken with 24/7 awakened awareness, a constant process.

What we need to become aware of is not what someone else is doing, but what we are doing right now, what is going on inside (inwardly or outwardly).

Do you become critical as you read this text?

Or are you upset because you feel like you are being denied something of yourself?

Or are you able to find the same thing inside and agree with these explanations without hesitation?

What’s going on with you?

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

However, if self-observation makes you feel distressed, that is a sign that you are strongly identified with the mind (ego), in that case, do not force yourself, but focus on relaxing first.

The more relaxed we all are, the less the mind (ego) works, and the easier it is for the essence to function.

At the moment we are able to fully accept ourselves as we are in the present, the flow that was unconsciously blocked by the mind (ego) begins to flow, and we will be able to be enveloped in a liberated calmness.

And at that moment, space is created within to genuinely and presently become aware of oneself.

In this way, we will become aware of the essence, which can purely observe anything without being swayed by any thoughts, emotions, and other such things that are only ever changing. (OM 🙏)
