“Awareness”

“Awareness”

“AWARENESS”

“Awareness” through self-observation can range from a sudden realization, such as “I never suspected my unconscious belief, that it was ‘A’, but it was actually ‘1’,” to something more like a bolt from the blue. On the other hand, “awareness” through self-inquiry is much more profound.

Thus, if there is something new to become aware about oneself through self-observation or self-inquiry, transformation is inevitable and comes spontaneously from within.

Furthermore, since this awareness does not include any judgment, such as “good or bad,” “done or not,” nothing that is intended to be changed is occurred by this awareness, which is the natural flow of self-observation and self-inquiry in stillness.

And if that awareness does not include any judgment, then at least we will be able to observe the words and actions of others in the same way, without any judgment as well.

For example, we will be able to accept the unconscious ego-driven behavior of ourselves and others that is due to mere ignorance (not realizing the Divine Self. it doesn’t mean lack of knowledge) as something that can happen naturally.

If, in spite of such realization, a critical look at ourselves or others arises, it means that there remains some other spiritual challenge for us, so we should further inquiry into the depths of that critical look, such as…

“What is so unacceptable?”
“Who is resisting?,” and so on.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

One’s spiritual awakening generally deepens like the following flow.

Because the ultimate purpose of being born is to “awaken spiritually,” that is, to become aware of the Divine Self and to purely live it only, so we must first develop the mind (ego).

Without it, none of us could be “awakened.” However, the degree of the development of the mind varies according to the spiritual challenges each sets for themselves in this lifetime, so we are not all the same.

↓↓↓

In the process of identification of mind (ego), although a sense of clear separation of self and others progresses, on the other hand, if this separation is insufficient, contrary, it will eventually one day become an obstacle to realizing Oneness as essence.

During this time, we experience suffering and sorrow due to various resistances to the facts.

↓↓↓

When suffering reaches its peak, one finally comes to accept that no matter how hard one tries or how much one struggles, it is impossible to improve oneself completely, as long as there is the unconscious. In other words, one gives up on changing anything relaying on the mind (ego), willpower.

At the same time, one also comes to accept the fact of unproductiveness always looking outside, and finding the rough edges of people’s words and actions with a critical mind.

↓↓↓

Finally, one begins to seek help from something far beyond the mind (ego) for profound questions such as, “Why does conflicts and suffering never end?,” or “What is death?”

↓↓↓

Eventually, one begins to realize that what one thought was the world one cannot change is in fact just one’s own (mind’s, ego’s) one-sided interpretation or projection of the past.

In other words, one begins to realize that what happens just happens, that everyone is where they are supposed to be, that everyone is only facing their own spiritual challenges, not for anyone else, and that in fact, nothing is happening as the mind (ego) sees it.

Furthermore, one begins to realize that there is a gap between one’s own words and actions, which one had been aware of, and actual words and actions, and even though one had vaguely been aware of it before, that one’s own awareness, perception is undoubtedly being greatly distorted by the mind (ego).

One becomes more cautious about self-deception by the mind (ego) and begins to distinguish the difference between the noisy voice of the mind (ego) and the guidance of something greater.

In this way, one will finally become able to see the facts about oneself as they are.

↓↓↓

More and more, one asks for guidance from something greater and simply follow it, and self-observation or inquiry become more and more frequent.

For example, one no longer prepares in advance for something because one comes to firmly trust that what one needs, whether it is information or material, will always be available for oneself, just as the unknown takes care of everything. Being given lodging on a trip, being served a meal, etc. will happen naturally. Or, If it is for the realization of some dream, after doing the minimum necessary, the rest is left to happen as it happens, to the unknown which definitely takes care of it.

In this way, the more willpower and self-reliance (including mind, ego, effort, expectations, predictions, etc.) are surrendered, the more smoothly things will proceed as they should, which is far beyond one’s imagination.

↓↓↓

Always with the ultimate question with heart, the frequency of self-observation and inquiry naturally increases, and as one just surrenders oneself to the something greater, suddenly, at that moment when there is no expectation, no intention, nothing, something incredible will happen, that goes far beyond verbal expression.

At that moment, one realizes that all the people one thought were separate, even those with whom one will never speak a word, are all oneself.

At the same time, one may be ecstatic at the bliss beyond bliss, the serene peace, the joy of the transparent state, and being completely free to loneliness, and one may begin to cry and laugh, quietly, by such self-realization.

↓↓↓

On the other hand, even though the sensing of being wrapped by something that can be called Ultimate Love never disappears, one still observes the same storm of intense emotions by the mind (ego) happen as before, thereby one may become confused and wondered why such things are happening. Therefore, one becomes more relayed on something greater for help.

In the end, one comes to realize that one gets oneself involved in emotional dramas by oneself due to one’s own unconscious choices.

↓↓↓

Eventually, one realizes that even such an enlightenment experience is not the end of the journey of spiritual awakening, and that even from there, the work of putting the truths into practice continues.

↓↓↓

Not only does one ultimately encounter the truth, but transcending time and space may also occur.

↓↓↓

Ultimately, it is not about abiding spiritually awakened or insistenting to a specific condition (even that is an attachment to duality), but about just being where there is no judgment of anything and all distinctions cease completely (as the absolute reality).

In other words, no matter what state a person is in, including oneself, or how the world appears to the mind, one does not seek what they should be, one is not attached to anything, and where such completely empty is that “nothingness,” is very The Self, the Absolute Reality, and one realizes that to be “it” is, in fact, no effort required.

Naturally, one also comes to deeply comprehend that every being is always “itself,” regardless of its awareness.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

We must realize that any attempt to change anything on the outside, such as trying to stop conflict, or save people, is nothing more than an action trapped in the illusion of duality, “conflict or peace,” “right or wrong.”

Furthermore, any idea that some truth will awaken or save all people in the same way is ultimately nothing more than an illusion that ignores the facts, and it is necessary to discard any of such ideas.

In particular, when it comes to our own “good deeds” that are cleverly self-fooled by the mind (ego), we must be careful. It is necessary to realize that the self-righteousness of the mind (ego) and the recognition that “the mind (ego) is oneself” which are hidden by that superficial good deeds actions, are illusions, and to distance oneself from any deception by the mind (ego).

On the contrary, we must ultimately realize that the basis for our own judging “right or wrong” is indeed the illusion of duality, which is the root of all kinds of conflicts and sufferings.

Naturally, it is not the non-dual Absolute Reality, and that there is neither serenity nor joy of being as the essence.

In other words, everything is just a manifestation of the Divine Self, and every moment is just a necessary experience for each individual’s awareness. Ultimately, there is no victim or perpetrator anywhere, and it is impossible for anyone to hurt another, and furthermore, it is also never too early or too late for each to realize something important spiritually.

Instead of it, we all need to first liberate ourselves from the trap of that illusion that we ourselves are unconsciously facing with, that is, to rescue ourselves from the illusion of duality, which is the salvation, so to speak.

And this is the only way to save the world or people.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

Still, everyone is always the best, and if one can incorporate another way of doing things or way of looking at things now, everyone will be doing it already.

Therefore, for example, if everyone could see it as right just because it seems right to someone else, there would be no conflict.

However, what is right from the perspective of person A may not be right from the perspective of person B, or may be completely wrong.

It is not because person B is wrong or person A is wrong, but everyone is equally right.

While we are still identified with personal mind (ego), who are not yet aware of this or have not yet accepted this fact, we can feel very confused when faced with the fact that the values and culture that underlie each person’s existence, such as upbringing, are very different from one person to another.

Furthermore, if that meaning of existence is shaken, it is perfectly natural to unconsciously resist such facts in order to protect the meaning of existence of illusion that the personal mind (ego) is strongly attached to.

That is why, inevitably, conflict can occur anywhere.

However, there is no problem at all for the Divine Self.

Nevertheless, we must realize the fact that unless we surrender the mind (ego) and connect with the omnipresent consciousness, it is impossible for each understanding to occur at the same time (which is unnatural to even ask for).

That is why, on the contrary, we need to become aware of ourselves, who ourselves find some problem there.

And then we need to go deep within ourselves and ask, “Who is it that find it as a problem?,” or “Who is this “I” anyway?”

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

It is not easy for anyone to accept this fact.

Many of us may keep to resist it in this life.

However, that is the ultimate spiritual challenge for each of us, and it is none other than impersonal ourselves as The Self, who longs to experience spiritual awakening and savoring The Self Itself through it. (OM 🙏)
