“The ‘Law of Cause and Effect,’ The ‘Law of Causality,’ and Spirituality”
In the world of relative duality as seen by the mind (ego), the “Law of Cause and Effect,” the “Law of Causality” are conveyed, for instance, as “If you do something with bad intentions, you will be punished.”
It appears as if it is a valid law, but that is why we need to clarify by ourselves, first of all, what premise we base on to have applied this law.
This is because changing the premise changes the very level at which the law is effective, and thereby the supposed universality of the law is fundamentally shaken.
For instance, if the same thing that we consider good is evil to someone else, how does this law then work?
Is good rewarded? And is evil punished?
Which becomes evil and which is rewarded as good?
In other words, because we have these concepts, ideas, and perceptions as premise and regard them as important (cause), the information processing of our own necessary things that is the natural function of the human brain directs our attention especially to good and evil, and what if, in turn, it causes the mind (ego) to regard them as if they comprised the entire universe (result)?
In fact, this is the spiritual “law of cause and effect,” “law of causality”and this each cause (perception) is as the spiritual assignment for each of us.
Thus, this law functions as the most universal law when applied on more comprehensive spirituality as wholeness, as pure essence level, instead of on the framework of individual problems and successes as seen by the mind (ego).
We need to apply this law first to the basic premise or etc. that each of our minds (egos) unknowingly holds (acquired in our upbringing), and that we are no longer even aware of.
Only if we are sincere in seek for profundity and truth.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
“Transcendence”or “Nirvana” means transcendence of the false self, mind (ego) itself, and complete liberation from that mind (ego) as the essence.
It means that it is not something by the mind (ego) achieves through its own desires, nor is it the altruistic desire of social goal that the mind (ego) thinks is noble, but all such things disappear when actually it, transcendence or Nirvana happens.
In the first place, the deepening of spiritual awakening itself occurs irreversibly due to surrender the mind (ego), so no mind (ego) interpretation, projection, and any idea arise within then that we have “reached” or “achieved” somewhere or something.
In fact, when we transcend the relative duality of mind (ego-self) and are as the Self, the ultimate love, consciousness itself, the essence, there is no expectation in our words and actions to be understood, no desire to help others, no hope to be useful, no purpose to improve society, no sense of mission such as “I have to tell people,” or “This is my role,” or any other intention, and everything and anything the mind (ego) imagines is gone.
Because there is no mind (ego) there at all.
So, of course, there is no pride of any kind (ego conceit).
On the flip side, where there is an intention – whatsoever it is, even contribution to humanity the mind (ego) imagines – it is all just an illusion, as a form of ego-trap, just like the good intentions as doership.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
In order for spiritual awakening to deepen, it is essential to complete each spiritual assignment one by one.
In other words, without an essential comprehension of the spiritual assignment, such as the recognition of the unnecessaryness of the ego as the essence and the surrender the ego through total acceptance of the facts, the door to the next level of consciousness cannot be opened naturally, and thus, inevitably, the deepening of spiritual awakening and the nirvana will not be possible.
In other words, through surrender the ego, far beyond the world that the mind (ego) intends or controls, as we let Higher Self guides us, we create the natural space inside and thereby opening our hearts more and more to the unknown, for necessary just as the essence.
On the other hand, if we are only gathering spiritual knowledge, or thinking about spirituality in our minds, although we may be false-self-deceived as ego deception, but there will be no actual enlightenment (acceptance of existence as it is, without distinction between self and others, tolerance for uncertainty, deep appreciation for all life experiences, etc.). And it will surely be criticism, denial, or actual attacks on others (actually self) by using righteousness or correctness as a weapon in many level, due to stubborn black-and-white thinking of right and wrong.
In the end, those happen because we remain identified with the mind (ego).
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Although realization or Nirvana requires something extremely simple but essential for us : to surrender the ego, however, unless we actually become aware of the cognitive distortions or its unnecessaryness of the mind (ego), no one can bring about even the smallest transformation of ourselves, let alone surrender that part of the mind (ego).
Furthermore, the very cognition that the mind (ego) assumes as its basic premise, as interpretation or projections, actually creates of the world that each mind (ego) sees, but is completely different from mere phenomena, and the mind (ego) is misidentified as the self in the first place, etc., to those of us who remain assimilated with the mind (ego), every spiritual things can be very difficult to realize as facts.
Nevertheless, due to ignorance of the fact, many minds (egos) will keep on finding various “errors”and go on forever about “what is wrong” and “what should be right.”
This is a kind of homeostasis for the separated and isolated mind (ego), and is a natural function of the mind (ego) to protect its safety and security by remaining in the status quo.
This is something that has been repeated endlessly, unknowingly, and unchanged as the mind (ego) in human history.
And it will never change in the future as well.
However, this does not mean that there is a superior or inferior between those who are spiritually awakened and those who are mind (ego) obsessed, nor does it mean that these things must be changed.
For some, it is an opportunity to address their own spiritual assignment or to react to the mind (ego), and for others, it is an opportunity to accept the mind (ego) of others in the same way that they have already accepted and sublimated and pour compassion into it.
Whatever the experience, position, or way of being (mind (ego) or essence), all of them are always contributing as opportunity for consciousness itself to savor itself as a wholeness, outside the realm of awareness of the mind (ego).
There is nothing meaningless or wrong.
Why everything exists (created as a spiritual assignment) and happens, is just because of necessary.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
To begin with, there is a limit to the amount of information processing that anyone can do at one time as a function of the brain.
Self-observation and self-inquiry require tremendous concentration, and anyone can only work on one spiritual assignment at a time, at best.
No matter how quickly we try to spiritually awake, beyond that, our brain will be too tired to work, and thus, our mind’s (ego’s) desires will never be fulfilled in that way.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
However, there will surely come a time for us as the essence with sincere seeking truth, when all the spiritual teachings we have heard will be connected and united as wholeness, and will blossom within us.
Until then, don’t resist the fact, such as uncertainty, the uncomfortable feeling of not knowing, and so on, instead, get used to being with such uncomfortable while being supported by faith in Higher Self to guide us to the spiritual heights.
All is happening outside the realm of the mind’s (ego’s) awareness and it (ego) is unaware, but at the level of essence as the highest level, simultaneously we all are always giving each other the opportunity for the “awareness”that is necessary above all for spiritual awakening, beyond the individual.
To become aware of this, anyone must first and foremost find the perfect stillness within.
And we need to observe everything from there as the essence.
If we are able to observe the facts about ourselves as we are, in complete stillness, without any interference from the judgment of the mind (ego), we will naturally become aware of our unconscious words and actions that we were not aware of before, and thereby many things will become clear to us that we had never thought of before, and moreover, it will surely, also bring about fundamental transformation in us.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
The following is an indicator of whether or not our current state of being a continuation on the path of spiritual awakening that is our priority as the essence.
Is that spiritual realization bringing us irreversible transformation, e.g., more pure humility without doership, unconditional acceptance of others as they are, etc.? Or is there a continuing deepening as a person that accompanies with expansion of impersonal existence, consciousness?
Or, conversely, has it led us to discover our own superiority and become more frustrated with the poorness and stupidity of others? Or, do we find our own poorness and stupidity so glaring that we shiver as if others (God) are superior to us?
If the latter is the case, it is the influence of the ego that has been strengthened separation by identification with the mind (ego), so please turn your attention first to simply observing the facts as they are and accepting them without any conditions.
There is nothing outside.
Everything starts from within each of us.
There is nothing to change, only need direct realization about the Self and the mind (ego) for ourselves through the innermost stillness, without interruption of any knowledge of the mind. (OM 🙏)
