“Does the ego derange us or our lives?”

“Does the ego derange us or our lives?”

“DOES THE EGO DERANGE US OR OUR LIVES?”

The ego, the body, and everything else other than the essence is an illusion, and identification with them brings us suffering.

In spiritual teachings, we are told that “the mind (ego) is not you,” but even so, if we are motivated by the ego and react reflexively, blaming others’ egos or events for our own reactions, that is, being eager to make people admit their mistakes and insisting on our rightness, for instance, that is a shift of responsibility and a distortion of the facts as well. And furthermore, if we say egotistically there, “The ego is not me,” that is simply nothing more than ignorance.

Nor does accepting the facts as facts mean to abdicate responsibility by finding some mistake, by seeking responsibility for it someone or something else (shifting), and so on.

If we observe the facts just as they are, in complete innermost stillness, then it means that the mind (ego) is completely detached, and so there can not be a shift of responsibility, the mind’s (ego’s) emotional behavior (reactions), such as illusions of some inconvenience to oneself or the urge to seek some kind of compensation, do not come to the surface, or do not fall into identification with them.

Moreover, even if such egotistic turmoil occurs within, for instance, it will only calmly be observed by the pure essence which is no mind-mediated.

That means that there is no necessary to repress or seal the emotions, nor to resist the fact, but it is simply to allow the ego to feel anything, to make noise within, and to recognize it as it is, as the detached essence of the ego.

However, if we don’t do it ourselves, and seek to place the blame for even what happens inside on the outside (i.e., trying to change the outside) as if it were a bad thing, or shame or blame ourselves (i.e., trying to change ourselves), or even resist that fact when in fact we are reacting reflexively, then the reality of the illusion will become further complicated by our own resistance to that fact.

This is actually a comedy by the unconscious ego, so to speak, like creating its own illusions by mind’s (ego’s) projections or interpretations, and then turning them into a complicated maze, while at the same time seeking responsibility outside.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

When there is a cause (distortion) within us (i.e., the way we perceive), everything inevitably materializes (happens) as an illusion.

It is the same with the ego’s reaction.

When the projection of the past onto something where there is actually nothing, in addition to the interpretation and seeing that illusion as fact, there is the identification with the ego, something can trigger, thereby the ego’s reaction is born.

Therefore, it is necessary to first recognize the fact that such a basic factor exists within the way we perceive.

In other words, don’t blame anyone for it. Although we accept the facts as they are, but we do not blame others, blame past events, or blame ourselves, as trying to change the facts, and of course, we do not abdicate our responsibility for them.

Because that too is an illusion.

Where such egotistic reactions arise, there is actually an identification with the ego that the person is not aware of, and that is precisely the spiritual assignment for the person.

That is why it is necessary for us to face the facts head-on and accept them as they are, without running away from them.

Only by doing so can we bring liberation from the ego to ourselves, which will be led to much deeper spiritual awakening.

On the other hand, to see the ego as an enemy, as if it were evil, or to try to eliminate it, that is, to treat it as something inferior as if it were an entity separate from oneself, is actually doing by nothing more than the same ego, who wants to be only a good person, actually an identification with it and is an illusion.

It is neither the way of being as the essence, nor the way of the ultimate love as God.

That is what it means to be completely trapped to identification with mind (ego).

Therefore, when we surrender such the minds (egos) and detach them, we can, as the essence, liberate ourselves from each and every captivity through observation of the facts as they are, so that the power of the ego to derange us and our lives can actually disappear.

In this way, there is actually absence of identification with the mind (ego) as the essence, and thereby, inevitably, we will be no longer reactive to anything outside.

Thus, remember that the mind (ego) is not an enemy that must be eliminated from the world and from ourselves, but is in fact the most significance tool within the game by consciousness itself, for the journey of spiritual awakening, for finding the essence again and living it. (OM 🙏)
