“Prayer, humility, and…”

“Prayer, humility, and…”

“PRAYER, HUMILITY, AND…”

Everyone wants to be authentic.

So we strive for various things in various ways.

But if we really want to be authentic as a true seeker from the bottom of heart in our spiritual awakening, we have to let go of this false-self, the ego that tries to be someone else that it is not.

And then, as our spiritual awakening actually deepens, we stop trying to be right, also stop judging who is right or what is wrong, and fully put our faith in the natural laws of the universe that is naturally led us to essence the more we purely open our own hearts.

In other words, we stop trying to become someone else and come to focus only on observing and aligning ourselves with essence.

But if we find ourselves struggling with the ego, we will need to pray so fervently that we leave the ego and return to be a state of egolessness.

This is because struggling the ego not only strengthens the ego itself, but also strengthens our identification we ourselves unknowingly cling to, with the ego that see as needing to be fought.

The purpose of prayer, therefore, is to get away from the mind’s thoughts, which we cling to as if they are the truth, and to simply return to our inherent humility, so there is no need to be concerned about the formality of prayer.

In other words, prayer is not about asking something far away to do something about ourselves and waiting for it to do something about ourselves, but it is about focusing on something else in order to get away from the ego, which considers we are still inadequate and is trying to do something about ourselves.

In doing so, to make the prayer more effective is to visualize an obvious image in our brain.

For instance, visualize an internal state of being completely relaxed by away from the ego which clings to something and concentrate on that image.

Then, when we return to the innermost stillness again and find ourselves in a state of calmness, conclude our prayer by offering gratitude to the unknown, to Higher Self.

This “act of offering gratitude,”even if there is no need to be concerned about the formality of a prayer, is very significant for us to be as essence.

This is because when we pray, as well as when we offer gratitude, we must internally be in a state of egolessness, humility. Otherwise pure gratitude will never come from within us spontaneously.

In other words, this egoless, total humility is the inner state that is most essential when we are deepening our spiritual awakening.

In this way, we will get away from the ego without effort, and merely return to the impersonal essence as only one consciousness. (OM 🙏)
