“HUMILITY, SURRENDER, AND…”
In order to encounter the Absolute Reality, to realize the Divine Self far beyond the individual as essence, that is, to transcend the innermost stillness and touch the ultimate love, humility is above all essential.
There is no “I” or “My” attached to this humility.
Because where there is an “I” or “My,” there is no true “humility,” which is essential for grasping ultimate love with heart.
What the mind wants to think of as “humility” with this “I” attached is actually just an illusion of the mind (ego).
In other words, to be truly “humble,” we, whoever we are, must surrender this “I”.
This “surrender of ‘I’” is mindless state, a state of being that completely leave behind the realm of awareness as “I”.
Namely, we completely leave behind all the “I” attached for comparison and judgement with others and our previous self, such as “what I got,” “my experiences,” “my accomplishments,” “my opinions,” “my proud family,” “my worth,” “I am humble,” etc., and sincerely deepen our self-inquiry in the innermost stillness.
There is no individual in this innermost stillness, and it is the only place for us where facts can be genuinely observed as they are, where is a place inherent in all of us.
There is no room there to intervene for interpretation or judgment by the mind, of what is wrong or how to be right.
Conversely, outside of this innermost stillness, no one can make pure observations without judgment.
This is because the unconscious ego unknowingly believes it is inadequate and so desperately wants to be good or a capable being, and so no matter how purely we think we are observing, no one can avoid the influence of that unconscious ego, other than innermost stillness.
Thus, while our unconscious ego is good at pretending to be something it is not, it is not very good at being aware of the fact.
After all, both trying to be good and wanting to be a capable being are only ego and eventually illusion.
So, conversely, by being in the complete stillness within, where is no influence of this unconscious ego, we, whoever we are, can observe the facts as they are, and furthermore, we can be guided to the truth as following the universal wisdom that we gain there.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Thus, true humility, in which the “I” is surrendered, draws from us enough candor to be guided into the unknown, allowing us to learn from who we are now, beyond right and wrong, through observation of the facts as they are in innermost stillness.
Moreover, this learning by this true humility will naturally lead us to a state of being more profound humility, and will inevitably lead us one step closer and closer to the profoundness of truth. (OM 🙏)
