“Nurture yourself, follow universal wisdom.”

“NURTURE YOURSELF, FOLLOW UNIVERSAL WISDOM.”

Nurturing oneself does not mean finding and fixing what is wrong with oneself, but rather acknowledging and forgiving the facts about oneself as they are through non-judgmental self-observation and self-inquiry conducted in complete innermost stillness, and the acceptance and integration of the self that has been denied.

In this process of self-acceptance and integration, it is significant to live away from the relative duality as seen by the mind to the extent possible, even before reaching non-duality.

This is because in the mind’s view of relative duality, there is the law of simultaneous existence of relativity, which states that for something to be “good,” something else must be “bad” at the same time, and it is impossible to be only “good.” To continue to dwell on this would, on the contrary, hinder self-acceptance and integration.

By humbling ourselves before this fact, we must surrender the unnatural way of seeking only “good,” and take action based on the universal wisdom gained through self-observation of the facts in innermost stillness.

In other words, whether it is human maturity or spiritual awakening, the two things that are most needed are self-observation or self-inquiry in the innermost stillness and the courage to live according to the universal wisdom that is gained there.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

Universal wisdom is gained by observing the facts as they are, in total innermost stillness, free from any influence of the mind. It is not a prediction of the future or a judgment of what is good or bad.

To follow this universal wisdom, which is far beyond the realm of the individual, is to discard unnecessary assumptions or beliefs that we have unconsciously gained and to return to our original state as essence, that is to align ourselves for harmony with essence, beyond our unconscious ego.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

This is about how to handle conscious to change the world, and ultimately, about “being present” to truly comprehend the Absolute Reality (who we really are).

In other words, it is always about comprehension that everything we experience “now” is the best content at the best time for everyone to deepen our spiritual awakening, and that “here” where we are now is the best place for that, which means that now is always perfect.

As a matter of fact, we all have our own spiritual learning that we each need to learn in this lifetime, and by completing them one by one, we deepen our spiritual awakening. This makes us the unique spiritual journey for each of us.

This spiritual learning does not simply end with the acquirements of relative awareness.

For instance, it does not end when we become a parent and understand how our parents felt then.

Instead, for instance, “How did the roles I unconsciously took on serve me?” or, “What in me (assumptions, beliefs, unawareness, etc.) made me a victim?” and so on. This is not something that changes with changes in emotions, beliefs, etc., nor is it “good or bad,” nor does it end up making us or someone or something about the event evil, but is about learning the universal lesson that is contained in that experience.

By actually completing each of these spiritual learning, our own inner separation disappears and self-integration progresses, and with it, the world will actually expand and reality change.

For instance, if a similar phenomenon occurs again and again that stirs the mind, or if we always react to the same type of person, it suggests that the spiritual learning is not yet finished. We will need to go much deeper into the stillness to self-observation or self-inquiry for realizing what to learn from it.

On the other hand, when we are no longer disturbed by the same phenomena (when we can see ourselves effortlessly in the people we interact with, i.e., there is no longer a separation between others and ourselves), then the spiritual learning we have set there is actually finished. We will have already begun the next spiritual learning.

Each of these spiritual learning that we each need to complete is essential for what we are to come to (become aware of) the ultimate love, the consciousness of the One as Essence.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

・Stop comparing (before and now, with others, etc.) and judging (good or bad, done or not done, etc.). And also when we find ourselves making comparisons or judgments, stop at that point.

・In the relative duality that mind sees, we always remember the fact that there are always opposites at the same time.
If there is a good side to things, there is always a bad side. Wouldn’t it be strange, then, to cling only to the bad side or only to the good side of an event or experience, or to deny one or the other?
Instead of focusing only on one or the other, look at a more integrated wholeness, always remembering that both are inherent, and continue to observe events, experiences, and ourselves purely without judgment.

・Work through every experience fully. Every experience that attracts us, whether emotionally or reactively, has a spiritual learning hidden within it. Cherish each and every one of them. Then, be guided by the profound question that naturally arises, “What is the spiritual learning for me that is hidden in this experience?”

・When we find the presence of the unconscious ego through self-observation or self-inquiry, we must accept it as it is and forgive it. In this way, as inner integration progresses, separation disappears in the reality where the inner world is projected as well.

The ego is hidden in our own unconscious. By becoming aware of the existence of that unconscious ego, and by forgiving and acknowledging it (accepting ourselves as we are), we can rescue ourselves from the ego that has been running wild from its unconscious ignorance, at which point it loses its power and ends its role.

It is never about becoming someone else (eliminating its existence), fighting against the ego, or suppressing it.

It is this acknowledgment and full acceptance (integration) of the unconscious ego that leads us toward our greatest maturity and deeper spiritual awakening.

∙ Have the courage to follow the universal wisdom gained through self-observation in the innermost stillness.

Following universal wisdom sometimes means changing actions that we had been unconsciously doing.

It is quite possible to have a great deal of fear about changing one’s behavior, as it sometimes implies a great deal of change in one’s relationships with those who are psychologically close to one. Therefore, we may be reluctant to change our behavior because it seems less psychologically stressful to continue to act the same way as before rather than to follow universal wisdom.

But if we do not follow the universal wisdom ourselves, how and when can our lives change?

So in some cases, a temporary physical distance from those close to us may be necessary to ensure that a change in behavior is underway.

However, no one can escape spiritual learning itself, so even if we temporarily distance ourselves physically, it will be essential to re-establish ourselves in the relationship. However, it can often be a kind of confirmation process.

・It is not useful just because it is memorized as knowledge at all, but it always needs to be practiced.

It is necessary to develop the habit of asking oneself deep within oneself at every opportunity. This will enable us to naturally go deeper and deeper into stillness.

The deeper the stillness, the deeper the spiritual learning we learn and the more inevitable the transition to the next step will be.

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

When all we need to do is acknowledge and forgive our unconscious ego, the question may arise, “Is it okay to live our lives according to our desires and hurt others?”

But in terms of emotional hurts, it is necessary to comprehend that on the mind level of relative duality, no one can hurt anyone else.

Emotionally, people hurt because they need to be hurt for their own spiritual learning, even if they are not aware of it, and they give themselves permission to be hurt for that purpose, never because someone is trying to hurt them. Even if no one is trying to hurt others, people will get hurt if they need.

Furthermore, at the non-dual level, there is no individual in the first place, and everything is just a manifestation of ultimate love, and in the end, it is the difference between being able to come to that awareness and not.

In fact, all that can happen in a relationship, such as hurt and suffering, is a sign that the people involved are sharing a spiritual learning opportunity for the spiritual awakening that each of them needs.

Therefore, the spiritual learning never ends with a discussion of who is right and who is wrong.

The learning is never the same among those involved, nor does it progress in the same way at the same time. It always depends on the choices each person makes and their ability to have the courage to move beyond their fears.

The same is true for physical hurts.

And after all, whether emotional or physical, there is always a spiritual learning hidden in each experience at profound level that is needed by our essence that never ends with the mind dimension of “good or bad.”

࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓

Always be in the “now.” (OM 🙏)
