“SURRENDER ILLUSIONS (DETACH OURSELVES FROM ILLUSIONS).”
As we continue self-observation and self-inquiry, there are many times when we cannot get a clear answer.
Whether it is such uncertainty or otherwise, we have to leave everything to the unknown, having faith that there will always come a time when we can comprehend it in divine timing.
However, we leave it to the unknown after we have taken the necessary psychological or spiritual action ourselves, and this action doesn’t mean physical.
For instance, if we simply wait for the right time for self-observation and self-inquiry, that time will not come even if we wait forever, let alone a lifetime.
We must first make up our mind to face ourselves, to go beyond the fear of it, and actually start facing, or nothing will ever begin.
Comparing it to mountain climbing, unless we actually climb the mountain ourselves, no one will be able to receive, let alone realize existence of the various gifts from God that lies along the way, and moreover, no one will even realize that the scenery one sees gradually changes, let alone savor the joy of enjoying the scenery itself.
In other words, unless we actually do the self-observation and self-inquiry, it is not possible for anyone to actually deepen comprehension of the truth, no one will spiritually awakening more deeply and our vision won’t expand and our perception also won’t deepen, and so that no one will be able to comprehend much more deeply, for instance, what we could not read before and feelings of the characters, even if read the same book.
No matter how much we know (or think we know) words of wise people, if we don’t actually climb the mountain, we will never comprehend its profoundness.
And to also go around gathering knowledge in search of spiritual correctness, etc., is simply to sit at a desk at the foot of a mountain and gather concepts that are only interpreted by the mind (known) while we ever unknowingly keep away ourselves the opportunity to truly comprehend any of the truth. In other words, we are simply giving what the mind thinks is “correct “ or “knowledge” to the ego, which is afraid of uncertainty and the unknown, to blind itself, but without really understanding the truth, we come to become merely self (ego)-satisfied.
On the other hand, we look at those who are on their way to the summit and envy them, or we keep in illusory drama of our current self-denying or of hating ourselves for not being able to make a decision or etc.
This self-hatred is caused by a deep-seated belief that our current self is not good enough, and that we have yet been unaware of the belief, or don’t want to acknowledge it as resistance of the mind.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
All of the illusory worlds are created by the mind is embodied precisely where our conscious (manifest mind and subconscious) is and how it is with our own awareness.
(*This is a very significant part of the process of spiritual awakening, so make sure you let it penetrate deep into you.)
If the base belief is “I’m not good enough,” we unconsciously try to become someone else, and naturally, the illusion that this state of conscious shows us is that even if we become who we initially assumed we would be, we will endlessly find ourselves lacking something else.
Conversely, when our base belief changes to “I am OK with who I am now,” we will gradually begin to realize the various gifts that are right in front of us, even unknowingly being always given to us, and will also become aware of the many other abundance that we thought was kept away from us before.
The latter is the basic attitude when we materialize dreams in the illusion of relative duality, but spiritual awakening is neither of these.
When we try to awaken spiritually from the conscious that “something is missing with ourselves,” we always find ourselves lacking something else, and conversely, from the conscious that “I am OK now,”we can have new realizations and spiritual awakenings deepen day by day, of course. However, spiritual awakening means to reach “awareness” that the “consciousness itself,” our essence is the source of creating all illusions easily, which exists before any creations.
However, remember that this “awareness” is completely different from gaining knowledge, or making yourself believe, or struggling to realize, or etc., contrary, we need to surrender such things all.
Truth is far, far beyond the imagination of the mind, the realm in which the mind can verbalize and perceive, and even much further beyond the realm of any mind level, so simply telling ourselves, “Consciousness itself is who we really are,” as knowledge, is completely meaningless. On the contrary, such knowledge often hinders actual spiritual awakening.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
If you can’t make a decision about something because you are afraid of the unknown, that’s fine. Just acknowledge that present self as you are now but also continue detach yourself from criticism of the mind.
If we don’t acknowledge ourselves as we are now, but rather are ashamed of such a self and try to do something about it, then, as we can see from the embodiment mechanism of conscious, we will eventually remain unable to acknowledge ourselves at all and even unable to make a decision forever.
Regardless of good or bad, we merely need to become aware of those patterned behaviors of our own, and once we become aware, the change will flow naturally.
For instance, falling into self-hatred is a kind of addiction, a state of addiction to a patterned drama in which we keep playing the role of the “I’m bad and not enough”.
And somewhere in our mind, we are waiting for someone to forgive us (i.e., love us completely) and rescue us (i.e., recognize us and make end the drama), not by ourselves.
However, as you can see by now, in fact, the person who can perfectly manifests our selfish expectations of such a mindset will never appear, no matter how long we wait, of course.
These patterned behaviors are a reenactment of the past. It is a barren attempt by the unconscious ego to try to rewrite the past.
This is because we have been hurt so badly somewhere in the past and had to has been further denied or repressed it, and so when we come across a situation where we have to make a major decision and act on it, the inner-child that is very anxious about making a decision comes to the surface and waits to be allowed or directed to make a decision, and furthermore, become unable to recognize this on our own.
And in this way, if we keep with the “I’m not good enough” drama (e.g., armed only with the correctness), we will unconsciously keep to betray our own essence, the Divine Self.
The significant thing is to become aware of ourselves now through pure observation without any criticism of what we actually feel and what we see in it. Then, we must forgive whatever self we have discovered, acknowledge it as it is, and voluntarily end these reenactments of the past.
With this pure self-observation, everyone will naturally be able to make the necessary choices at that point in time.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Don’t try to apply concepts interpreted by the mind to yourself just because a wise person says so.
Always be with yourself of the present moment changing every moment, but at the same time always remain some awareness as witness of all, continuing to detach yourself from the illusion.
That is what’s significant.
There is no need to be ashamed or conceited about what you cannot do or what you can do. It is always perfect just as it is.
And to comprehend that spiritual awakening is not the kind of thing where one day you will completely awaken spiritually and everything will be over, or thereby you will finally become a useful member of society, but rather a process to be carefully savored and enjoyed one by one.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
As a matter of fact, if you actually continue self-observation and self-inquiry, even in just a couple of years, your internal state of being will change profoundly. Furthermore, many small changes to align with the essence more can happen even in a months or less.
The faith in unknown that is immeasurably large far beyond our respective mind, will certainly guide us to the source, absolute reality. (OM 🙏)
