“BEING ALONE.”
We need to become aware of the abundance and profoundness that lies in “being alone,” which can never be found elsewhere.
Only by being truly alone can we find the innermost stillness that is essential to realize, for instance, that the feeling of loneliness is only an illusion in the mind.
Until we find this complete stillness within, it is impossible for any of us to be guided by the unknown, let alone be touched to universal wisdom, and that is why we who haven’t yet transcended from the duality cling to the misidentification of the individual, clinging to whatever knowledge we can be known, or personal experiences, or interpretation or projections of the mind, and we keep wandering in search of someone whom we think who has something that we lack.
If we truly come to realize the abundance of innermost stillness, such wandering would sooner or later come to an end.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
We cannot hold anyone or anything responsible for our choices.
In the first place, no one can ask anyone else to shoulder the responsibility of realizing the “ultimate happiness” within, which one can reach only by alone.
Furthermore, there is no such thing as an event that influences our own choices, even though the mind unknowingly believes so.
In fact, nothing other than our own mind can shake our inner peace.
And as a matter of fact, it is this mind (ego) that is in a mutually cooperative relationship with relative heart (essence), and both can serve as the surest guidepost for our unique path of spiritual awakening, through we internally realize differences between them.
In this way realization of how we are now and being guided by it is what Sri Nisargadatta Maharaji means when he says “Your Own Self is your Ultimate Teacher.”
࿓࿓࿓࿓
None of us can be lonely by being alone.
Loneliness is simply created by the result of our mind’s interpretation of a situation.
Our mind’s unconscious interpretation of various situations creates any illusional emotion, which is never an absolute reality, and creates an illusory world, a universe, in which these are reflected.
What this means is that we ourselves are the creators of the illusory universe, then of course we ourselves are always the destroyers of illusion.
In other words, just by changing the way we ourselves perceive a situation (change our assumptions, stop interpreting, etc.), we can change the emotions that arise, the world we see, and even the universe itself in which we live.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
For instance, two people can be in the same situation, and one is calm and has no complaints, regardless of the situation, while the other is in the same situation, but is dissatisfied with everything, secretly expecting something from others and resenting the betrayal, lamenting that people are not so kind, and so on.
There is no need to judge “good” or “bad” here; all is only manifestation of differences in how we perceive ourselves and how we deal with the reality the mind is creating.
In other words, it is not about whether it is “good” or “bad” for the inner movement or the outer phenomena, but about how much we are able to observe ourselves purely with detached from the judgment of the mind and this is what determines the world that each of us will experience.
And this pure self-observation, detached from mind and unaffected by any judgment, which is an essential for deepening spiritual awakening, is possible whenever we are with the innermost stillness.
࿓࿓࿓࿓
What these facts show is that whether it be “loneliness” or other emotions, and even the world and universe that seem so real to the mind, are in fact completely no basis of other than the mind, and illusion which is always transient.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Instead of searching around for someone else’s love to escape loneliness, or to have someone to fill something you believe you’re missing inside, or for any other illusion to deceive yourself, for the sake of essence, be alone and realize that you are the ultimate love itself, the absolute reality, which is the purest and will never disappear or change.
Then will we truly realize the perfection of being here, now, as we are.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Whether we are spiritually awakened or not, the essence is always the Only one Consciousness, Ultimate Love, Absolute Reality. And this Supreme never dies or disappears, which means that it exists only in this moment, “now.” There is no past, no future, except in our own mind.
Then what in the illusory universe we ourselves create do we have to fear or worry about?
It’s only to enjoy the quiet joy of new discoveries about ourselves every day and actually deepening spiritual awakening, by we purely observe ourselves as we are in the present, isn’t it?
What else other than this ultimate purpose of us is there? (OM 🙏)
