“WHEN THE SHELL OF THE MIND CRACKS.”
While we keep to struggle against what we consider as the enemy (ego), we cling to the “short-lived elation” that comes from the fulfillment of our mind’s (ego’s) desires, and we keep to strive to control our lives.
Only when it comes to dead end do we stop, at our wit’s end, and tearfully begin to pray toward the unknown.
Congratulations. (🙏)
At last, we have given up trying to control this and that by reason, and have begun to pray to something beyond our mind (ego).
We say, “There is nothing more I can do, and I don’t even know what to do any more. Please tell me what else I should do.”
This time is when the mind’s (ego’s) shell finally begins to crack, and true humility spontaneously rises from within.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Until this point, we not only do not know what the heart longs for, but we think we know it and we do even not actually know how to truly live our lives, only tracing the superficial world, not yet realizing anything about the profundity of life.
Furthermore, the mind (ego) is even unaware of the fact that the reason of the mind it uses to control its own ego is only the manifest mind, which is said to be less than 10% of human consciousness. They totally do not realize that the other 90% or more is unconscious, that is, spiritually asleep, even if physically awake.
In other words, up to that point the shell of the mind begins to crack, we believe we are rational and in control of ourselves, but in fact we are unaware of and overlooked the large part of ourselves that we think we should be controlling.
And so, even when the path to truth is shown before us, we say, “No, that’s not right,” and we are pushing through the mazes and entering into the deep with our overconfidence in the mind (ego) that thinks it is awakened.
And somewhere along the way, we get stuck.
When the mind (ego) has done all it can think of and has truly run out of energy, finally the shell of the mind (ego) begins to crack by giving up our willpower, and the path to the essence, the heart, opens. Only then do we are beginning to surrender overconfidence in the mind (ego) (false-self-confidence) and the mind (ego) itself.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
This “stuckness” is something that the mind (ego) would like to avoid, as it always wants to be prepared for everything and live correctly and well.
But from the perspective of the most profound world, letting us stuck is the ultimate role of the ego, and it is what is necessary for spiritual awakening.
If, on the other hand, the mind’s (ego’s) self-delusion keeps to cleverly avoid getting stuck, we will never awaken spiritually, and we will face physical death without realizing the true meaning of life, ultimate love at all.
In fact, there are far more people who are too much frightened of physical death, who do not savor the profundity of the essence that exists deep within everyone, and contrary to expectation of the mind (ego), who eventually die physically without even realization of how to really live.
Nevertheless, that is why we (a part of consciousness) come back to savor the profundity of the essence over and over again (reincarnation).
It is not, however, a personally inflicted punishment or a burden to be personally borne, by something greater, as is commonly thought as Karma, so to speak.
There is nothing anywhere for anyone such duality at all.
Reincarnation occurs because the essence purely and sincerely longs to savor its profundity as part of consciousness. This is because the essence cannot realize any of the differences that we can savor through the dual world of mind (ego) while the essence is one with consciousness itself.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
The observer and the observed exist within us simultaneously. And it is Consciousness itself that is observing it all, and it is the aggregate of essence.
When we are one with consciousness itself (oneness), it is the moment when the boundary the mind feels that physically and psychologically separates us from everything else disappears and we are completely melted with the essence of all.
This is oneness, and being spiritually awakened is the state of being in this oneness, that is, as only one consciousness, while being melted with everything and being aware of observing all of ourselves in the “now.”
And the essential requirement to get there is a crack in the shell of the mind (ego).
In other words, any mind’s (ego’s) stubbornness, and the suffering it brings, will appear as necessary for each of us of spiritually awakening. Therefore, we should savor each one of them with gratitude. Because only by savoring the pain of suffering and of cracking the shell of the mind we feel throughly can we all transcend the dual world of the mind.
That is the most necessary thing. (OM 🙏)
