“THE NEED FOR APPROVAL AND SPIRITUAL AWAKENING.”
When we are in deep sleep, when we are dreaming, and even when we begin to awaken spiritually, our ego strives for someone’s approval.
It strives to this and that for it.
For many of us, however, it is very difficult to ask ourselves why we want to be accepted by others and to dig deep into ourselves (i.e., face ourselves) in search of the answer.
And so we continue to struggle for approval endlessly.
However, in fact, none of us need anyone’s approval.
In other words, no matter how many people deny or praise us, it is only a projection of the reality in which each of the deniers and admirers lives, and has nothing to do with us.
All we ourselves need to do is to admit ourselves as we are, wherever and whenever we are.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
But if we can’t stop putting conditions on ourselves to “accept” ourselves, eventually, by clearing such conditions, our ego will come to give ourselves status. In other words, for the ego, it becomes “I’m great for being able to do it.” But at the same time, it means, “I (the person) who cannot do it is no good.”
In that way, we can finally approve ourselves when we clear the conditions though, but we actually fall into the ego’s clever false confidence, deception. In fact, this false confidence is, of course, easily shaken by the presence of others.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
Each of us must inquire further deep into the “I am insufficient” belief that as if having been deeply embedded in us, and clarify how it came about and why it drives us so obsessively.
Otherwise, our unconscious (ego) will endlessly do autopilot for us by such unacknowledged beliefs, and spiritual awakening will never deepen.
At least, if we don’t recognize for ourselves the fact of how much we ourselves keep pushing ourselves into small frames and obsessing over small tasks such as clearing those conditions, deepening in that regard won’t happen.
Even if the scale of that frame is the world.
In fact, if we truly comprehend how grand, how profound, how unimaginable is the scale of the consciousness, the ultimate love that is our essence, that goes far beyond the individual, even if we had previously realized how small we are looking down from the summit of the world’s highest mountain of Everest, and furthermore, even if we had realized how small we are on the earth where is on a corner of the universe looking from the universe, we would completely be left speechless at the far-reaching grandeur of ultimate love, which even those comparisons are far from adequate.
Moreover, if we could truly comprehend even this glimpse of ultimate love, none of us would be able to continue to remain in such a small world.
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
As a matter of fact, there are many opportunities to further deepen spiritual awakening, even among daily trivialities and routine tasks.
Conversely, no matter how deeply involved we are in spiritual matters, a deepening of spiritual awakening will not occur while those who want to escape from themselves, their families or others, and to change the world, others, and even themselves.
Yet, whenever, we can still grasp ourselves as we are.
And whenever we become aware of ourselves as we are now, it will certainly lead us to deepen suitable spiritual awakening for each.
In other words, deepening spiritual awakening, wherever we may be, will never occur without this “grasping ourselves as we are now.”
࿓࿓࿓࿓࿓
If our hearts longing is to deepen spiritual awakening and we recognize it, and moreover if it’s clearly not a desire of the mind (ego), it becomes of the utmost importance how much we ourselves can listen to the inaudible voice of the pure heart and attune of it.
And in fact, this one point is the only one we are constantly being questioned by the Consciousness. (OM 🙏)
