“Humility”

“HUMILITY”

When we sincerely receive each event with “Thank you” without preference and with heartfelt gratitude, our heart’s longing will be heard and the path to further deepen spiritual awakening will begin to appear before our eyes.

In spiritual awakening, “humility” is not being recommended just as one of virtue, a posture to take when dealing with others (it’s not suggesting to be “good” on the mind level of “good and bad”), but rather recommended to surrender the arrogance (ego) that allows us to accomplish all things through our own control because true humility is the key that opens the path to the truth. This humility means that we wholeheartedly admit the ego’s powerlessness (or at least the fact of its limitations) to the unknown and also that surrendering everything to the unknown, which is far beyond the ego.

There is no other person separated from us anywhere. There is no “I,” no “You,” no “Something” to accomplish, no “Mine” or “Yours,” nothing at all. Only one Consciousness, the Self is, and that alone is the truth.

Thus, the person we honor with humility is not someone separated from us, but the Self, the very Consciousness itself that is always with us, inseparable from us.

Otherwise, then that “humility” would be a mere illusion that promotes more separation and would be nothing more than a delusional appeal to one’s own mind (ego).

Be authentically humble.

Trust in the invisible Great Being that surely guides you, that alone (see the forest from the trees, for recognizing how much you have been guided by it, and you will see that there is no “I,” or no “My,” and nothing that has done).

And stop thinking with your mind and just surrender everything as you are guided.

That trust and true humility will surely lead you to further depths uninterruptedly. (OM 🙏)
