“THE MEANING OF ‘CARPE DIEM’ HERE.”
Regardless of what was intended when ‘carpe diem’ was first used, when it is used here, it means “Cherish and carefully savor the eternal moment called ‘now’ with pure joy.”
It never means that we should have fun with indulging our ego’s desires and pleasures to the fullest even momentarily, since we do not know what tomorrow will bring.
Sooner or later, our physical bodies surely will come to an end. No one knows when that will be, and even if we do know, our dismay in the face of that fact will be not able to change anything.
Rather than being frightened by that fact or trying to make clear when the end comes, it means, regardless of whether we are spiritually awakened or not, the most significant is that being here ‘now,’ and we carefully need savoring each moment with gratitude and pure joy, and always cherishing the present moment, which is the only precious opportunity for observation.
To savor with pure joy means to feel the profundity of the present moment, of the ‘now,’ to the fullest as much as possible you can. (OM 🙏)
