“One overlapping world”

“ONE OVERLAPPING WORLD”

In the world in which we live, the dual world and the nondual world coexist in an overlapping manner. In the nondual world, there is only one reality in which everything melds together, but in the dual world, there are intersecting worlds of perception based on various value standards.

The non-dual world and the dual world do not exist separately, but are recognized just as different world by the mind which is limited to duality.

In this simultaneously and overlappingly existing nondual world, there are no conditions about anything, there is no flow or distance created by the concepts of time or place, and there is no separate consciousness. Everything that is unconditional and incomparable, such as love, the Consciousness itself, or existence, exists in this nondual world.

On the other hand, in the dual world for experiencing spiritual awakening, various comparisons and value judgments are swirling around. And the mind or ego that identifies oneself with is always unconsciously applying oneself or others into a frame based on value judgments, either happy or sad, or striving not to do so.

All negativity, such as conflict or frustration, is recognized and negated by this dual world of the mind. On the other hand, in the nondual world, even negative things such as conflict are only observed as fact, and moreover because the truth behind of the matter is also observed and so any of them are not denied at all.

In the dual world, people’s spiritual awakening is that always a handful of beings who continue on the path of full awakening, and most remain completely asleep or only half-awake, or sleeping and waking repeatedly, and most of their self-awareness remains in the same identification with the mind, ego, or body, and they would yet end their physical lives within such the same dual world. Moreover, in this dual world, the higher the level of spiritual wakefulness, the better, so this fact is perceived as depressing and is associated with actual impatience.

On the other hand, in the overlapping nondual world, this same fact is simply observed as a fact, is never perceived as wrong, and so no judgment or action to change is done to it. Because this is the natural state of being completely free, and there is no judgment in the nondual world such as it is good to be awakened spiritually.

Furthermore, even when awareness is limited to the dual world of the mind, it doesn’t mean that the dual world exists only for the purpose of spiritual awakening, and there is always the moment of ‘now’ that the Consciousness itself experiences through the various ways of perceiving the process by the mind from a state of detachment from spirituality to spiritual awakening is. The pure observation of the Consciousness itself, the unconditional joy of experience, continues throughout the entire process.

Thus, spiritual awakening is not about reaching some special place or obtaining something special, as the mind of the dual world assumes, but simply realizing that there is no beginning, no end, and that everything is just here, now.

It’s about letting go of the unnecessary and becoming simple.

For instance, when we truly realize the limits of effort by the mind and ego, we can spontaneously become humble for the first time and enters the stage of surrendering the brute force control of the mind and ego. This surrender makes one simpler, and this simplicity allows one to go into the more profound world.

In this non-dual world where one is completely separated from the mind, one finally realizes that one has never lost one’s way or left the Consciousness itself, that everything in the dual world is merely an illusion created by the mind that has thought it is oneself, and that there is no such thing as oneself at all.

In that way, everything will naturally become obvious to anyone who actually encounters the innermost stillness.

On the other hand, in the rush to spiritual awakening, which the mind wants in the dual world, it is common to gather knowledge and try to measure one’s own awakening, or to fall into the more illusion by the ego that as if it seems to have awakened already.

Knowledge is useful for taking tests or something like that actually, but it’s often hinder actual spiritual awakening, because the knowledge cannot be used without the mind and it is actually an awakening from identification with the mind and ego. (OM 🙏)
