“PREMISES”
Most people live based on premises, and not only do they not question those premises, they don’t even realize that they are living based on them.
The premises, which are not suppositions at all, leave no room for ‘maybe not.’ Even if they were vaguely there, they would be easily ignored.
Thus, life becomes monotonous and routine.
The ego always unconsciously pretends to be something it is not and keeps away itself from true spiritual awakening, by interpreting the facts to suit its own premises, such as “I am special” or “I am okay.” Or, conversely, it swings to the extreme end of the dual world, saying “I am not good enough” or “I am always wrong,” and keeps to crush its own potential.
The reason why the mind is unable to be aware of these facts is that the ‘observation’ that the mind with increased knowledge and information thinks is the same is actually total different from the observation of the facts as they are from the non-dual world by the Consciousness itself, which unconsciously replaces facts into the content with that which is suitable for the premises limited to the dual world ( = interpretation = the world as the mind knows it).
Therefore, the mind and ego never have the pure joy of encountering the unknown on a daily basis.
This is because if they were not replaced in this way, the ‘I’ or ‘me’ that the mind and ego have cultivated could lose its meaning, which ultimately leads to the death of the ‘I’ or ‘me’ existence.
However, if one were unable to observe the facts as they are from the nondual world by the Consciousness itself, it would be impossible for anyone to truly comprehend these mind and ego biases and why they emerge, and furthermore the illusions that consist of premises and biases would remain unchanged and unnoticed forever unconsciously.
That’s why, it is essential for anyone to truly awaken spiritually through pure observation of things as they are by the Consciousness itself of the non-dual world, which one encounters in the innermost stillness, and sincere self-inquiry without any judgment.
Only then will one be able to realize the existence of ‘premises’ that one has been holding on without realizing it, or to comprehend deeply who ‘I’ ultimately am, not through mere knowledge or logic.
Only then will one be able to bring about a fundamental change in one’s life, such as from the dual world of suffering and fear to the non-dual world of joy and love filled with serenity and new awareness.

Now, what would be the premises that your mind unconsciously keeps to hold? (OM 🙏)
