“SHARPEN SENSES.”
What exactly is ‘like’?
There are many things that we think we ‘like’ but actually do not, such as those that we assume we ‘like’ because of numerousness of the information that is considered ‘good’ rather than because we genuinely ‘like’ them (thought priority), or those that we have unwittingly become addicted to something, such as sugar addiction, and have come to misperceive (deny) that we ‘like’ them.
Even when it comes to just one ‘like,’ we select many things by using our senses, but as the previous shows, we are not making full use of our senses.
For instance, childhood abuse survivors and those who grew up in families with some kind of addiction enablers often have a paralyzed sense of danger, or if they do have it, it is often not fully utilized due to tendency of denial by the mind.

While the human senses become rusty if they are not used, they can be used to their full potential by consciously using them. However, it may be difficult to be conscious of this at all times, and of course, each person has different potentials, but the effect of conscious use is very significant when the original functions are not being fully used.
Having said that, do not forget as the saying goes, “too much of a good thing can be bad.”
Basically, the focus is on opening the sensory organs to their fullest potential and feeling them, but there are many things about the sense of sight that cannot be seen by focusing one’s attention on an object, so we have to be careful because of easy interference of interpretation by the mind.
Incidentally, the five senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch) plus the sixth sense are referred to here as the senses, and other senses are omitted.

⚫︎ Sight acts as a powerful support for the illusion of this dual world and can be a major obstacle to realizing that the reality that the mind thinks is an illusion, but we can reverse this and ask, based on the phenomena that we can perceive visually, “So what is the essence behind it?” and use it as an opportunity to look much more deeper. In this way, we acquire the ability to grasp the essence, rather than the surface layer and we can expand our own profound world beyond the surface world that is easily grasped by the sense of sight.
Moreover, we also have to learn how to grasp the whole aspect without relying solely on sight.
⚫︎ While the auditory sense is irreversibly degraded by continuing to listen to loud sound, when we become accustomed to silence through meditation or other means, we can hear even the smallest of sounds that were previously inaudible. This is because the ability to concentrate and pay attention increases along with the habituation to silence.
It is also said that hearing does not lose its function until the very end.
⚫︎ Unlike the other four senses, the sense of smell works directly on the frontal lobe without passing through the thalamus, so the memory of smells is said to be long-lasting. The frontal lobe, which smell directly affects, is the center of thought, emotion, personality, and reason, and is a place where tension can easily be generated by the mind, but it is also possible to trigger the release of that tension directly through smell.
For instance, consciously incorporating relaxing scents into one’s daily life – smelling relaxing scents before a tense situation, daily aromatherapy, etc, – can be used to relax the body and mind and calm the mind, even not during meditation, by utilizing the direct effect of smell on the frontal lobe.
The sense of smell is also closely connected to the sense of taste, which is a crisis-sensing ability to detect unpleasant smells in order to prevent the ingestion of dangerous substances.
⚫︎ Taste functions in a comprehensive manner in conjunction with sight and smell, rather than being a function of taste alone, but through these senses, it can be sometimes easy to fall into some kind of addiction, such as sugar addiction, without realizing it. If you are eating without thinking, be mindful of the taste of each ingredient, and pay attention to changes inside yourself on a regular basis, whether you are eating as if driven by a craving for a particular ingredient.
⚫︎ Tactile sensations can provide us with a great deal of detailed information if we open our sensory organs to the fullest and become aware of what we feel more. It is also important to find a sense of touch that is comfortable for you and incorporate it into your daily life.
In addition, the sense of pain within the tactile sensations is often a trigger for numbing or deviation can be for those who have gone through physical or psychological abuse (emotional pain affects the human body in the same way as physical pain), so if this is the case, it should be treated with caution.
⚫︎ The sixth sense is easier to work with when connected to the deepest stillness, and the more we use it, the more acute it becomes.

By expanding the potential of the innate sense organs in the described above, we can add color to our lives in the ‘now’ and cherish the happiness of feeling the abundance that is there.🙏✨🌈
